"There was some... unpleasantness, I can never go back."
-Homer Simpson
Pretty much the same quote applies to my situation with CXF, on which Jordan White regularly posts. However, before the unpleasantness I asked Mr. White who wrote the responses on the letters page and found out it was him.
(In the past you could safely assume that the editor was the one to respond, but these days you never know with PAD answering letters in the books he writes and DeFalco answering letters in Spider-Girl.)
Lots of people have said they enjoyed the letters page more than the New Exiles book itself. So I'm curious: if he got 22 pages a month with which to entertain us, rather than just one, would you want to buy said pages?
I would!

You're not supposed to talk about other forums. Just an FYI.
And Jordan D. White's a great guy. He's clearly having a lot of fun working with CC and Jeff Parker.
But I wouldn't go as far to say that the letters pages are better than the main book.

Oh, okay. By now I knew that Brian didn't want me bashing other forums, which I thought I steered clear of here. But I'll try to avoid talking about them at all in the future, thank you.

Yeah, but you're a fan of the main book. Other people, who are disappointed with it, have said as much about the letters pages.

If he's the guy who writes the letters pages, then he should definitely get the book. He's awesome. The Sage one was a masterpiece, followed closely by Psylocke and Cat Pryde.

Let him do the dialogue, and let CC plot everything out. Maybe Marvel will get my Exiles dollars again.

I'd read a book by him.
Thanks, folks. You really made my day with your compliments.

Well he would. It's his opinion.

You guys should check out his comics at his website, http://wax-work.com/comics.htm. They're from a few years back, though.
Or his podcast, which is VERY funny and currently ongoing: http://feeds.feedburner.com/CastInWax
I think the podcast best shows his current level of creative funny.

Hey, 'Cur. How's it going?
To be honest I think the guys has a far better handle on the characters on that one page than most full issues do. I'd be more than happy to see him contribute more to the book. Although maybe not the WHOLE book.

Nooooooo? Really?
This is a message board. Posting one's opinion is pretty much a given.
Just like I posted my opinion that I didn't agree with it.

Hey, 'Cur. How's it going?
Hey TSiD. It's going all right, aside from worrying about the outcome of the U.S. election. Really would be nice if I could just be rendered comatose until November 5th--but no, I've got another 41 days of being worried ahead of me.
How are things with you?

I think the plotter/scripter collaboration that's been suggested would be worth trying one of these days.
I still think that the last issue of the book was an improvement, but how a story ends can make or break it. So can the climax. In this case, we need a resolution to the whole "Betsy is scared of Slaymaster" thing by the end of it, ideally settled by a really good fight between the two. At the climax, we need a revelation regarding what Sue's team is doing to harm the Omniverse and why they're doing it (they need a logical reason, IMO). So we'll see what happens...
