Bruce has had a lot of women to come in and out of his life through the years. Which one do you think has what it takes to be Mrs. Wayne? Here are a few choices(the ones I feel are probably most relevant at least for the time being). Feel free to discuss them or add your own.

Jezebel is just... Nothing really, no personality, no reason to exist other than to be in Morrison's run, no nothing. Might as well replace her with a talking blow up doll.
I can see him with Zatanna and Thalia, if not Selina but not Jezebel.

They were officially together as recently as the HUSH story-arc, where they broke it off again due to Bruce's mistrust of others.


Personally, I'd love for him and Selina to finally hook up and make it work; but, I believe SB-P has at least one good point here, DC is never going to put them together. They seem firmly wedged into the crack that keeps Selina and Bruce apart.

I'd love to see he and Zatanna hook up but I don't expect they'll allow that either. In fact, I don't expect they're ever going to let Bruce marry and happily stay that way. It seems DC has become fixated on the idea that Bruce cannot have a decent relationship and still function as a interesting and entertaining Batman.

If they ever have him marry he'll either end up unhappy, or she will, and they'll inevitably get divorced or they'll do like what happened to Selina's baby in the Catwoman comics and make Bruce's wife become a recurring Damsel in distress that he has to rescue in every other issue.

I don't think we'll ever see Bruce in a happy, lasting, relationship. No one at DC seems to have the nerve to work on such an idea, and the few that have considered it seem to get shot down by DC's editors. I'm already anticipating the death of Jezebel Jet, or her leaving him due to what's occurred in the RIP arc; and good riddance to her I might add, worst bit character I've seen introduced in a long time in any of the comics I read. There's been nothing remotely indearing or particularly interesting about her to make her solidify as a viable candidate in my mind.

Dark Knight Returns is his future, and afterward, he leads his underground group to continue his war until his death.

I'm reminded of lyrics from "Brandy" by Looking Glass:

Batman's life, his lover, and his lady is his war. You might think that tragic (and indeed it should be somewhat), but he's experienced romance, experienced love; he has sons. But Bruce is like Pacino's detective character in Heat, "All I am is what I'm going after."

I agree with Chiroptera's take on it. If Batman was ever to get involved and settle down with any woman, it would be Catwoman without question. Though their modus operendi and personalities are very different, they are also very much alike in a lot of ways.

However, part of the tragic heroism of Bruce is that it's his mission, his pursuit of justice as means of honoring his murdered parents that always, ALWAYS comes first, before any personal happines, and perhaps even at the cost of his own sanity. Likewise, Selina tragedy is that, whether she's a theif, mercenary, adventuress, whatever, that it's the thrill of the chase that gives her a reason for being, and that as much as she wants Bruce, she's afraid whatever attraction that drew them together in the first place would be gone if they just decided to spend the rest of their lives together, especially if it meant hanging up the masks for good.

So, while Batman and Catwoman may never actually get together due to their psychological hang-ups, under any other circumstance they are (and apologizes if this sounds mushy) "soul mates," so to speak.

Like they will never hook batman up with anyone as batman series continues to progress and be made. but lets say supposedly fate in the end (when hes like 40-50+ ) he did end up with someone it should and would most likely be selina kyle/catwoman. they are just so alike in characteristics and personality, but as well as have very high chemistry. when they go on dates just as bruce and selina, bruce seems genuinly happy.

If I had a say it would be Selina Kyle, but I do agree the couple has been done till death and it worked in Earth-2 so need to repeat it again in this one.

- Jezebel Jet, nope she will probably end up dead anyway. I don't see any of the bat character ending up with a normal person (except maybe Oracle) and as E-2 Dick said to Helena "Only a special person would be able to tie us down"

- Zatanna: no, if Paul Dini were subtle about this relationship instead of forcing it down my throat I'd liked it maybe.

- Talia: no.

- Barbara: hinted (and seen a bit) in Batman TAS, but it's not explored at all. Wouldn't mind them trying it out.

- Alone, bitter and only having a dog as companion at this rate, it will probably end this way.

I'd love this too. She was a great character. She was both one of the sexiest, and smartest, women Bruce dated. I'd rather have seen her make a return than the introduction of J.Jet, it would've made the whole story more believable to me if an old flame he had feelings for had returned rather than a totally new woman.
