did anyone think the whole sewer bat cave think it is a reference to the darren awnkofsky/Frank Miller Batman year one scene. Like he was saying he made a mess of the script or something. Don't get me wrong because I thought the script was really promising and realistic and I am not trying to be a hypocrite or something but I thought that the sewer was a reference to the Year One Train Station batcave.
You talking about Batman Begins or the scrapped Aronofsky Year One movie?

I thought Miller co-developed the story with Aronofsky. Warners / DC scrapped it because it was too different and too dreary. As much as I like Miller and Aronofsky, I gotta agree. It was just too deviant and not really Batman. It was almost like Sin City Batman. Hell, we almost got that with All Star goddamn Batman now. Imagine that on film. I'll take Batman Begins which is more in tone with the original Year One book.

I don't think Miller should be allowed to touch Batman anymore. That guy in All-Star is not Batman by any stretch of the imagination.

It didn't seemed too Sin City to me, it seemed to Gritty (Not Grim, just gritty) though, And I agree, It was good for say an Elseworlds, or a Novel even but not a Movie.

I think imagining a Batman that isn't a little crazy is a stretch. He turned himself into a weapon and made it his job to get shot at, after seeing his parents get shot to death in a filthy alley. But the All Star debate is getting old. Some people like it, some people don't. It's not like the title of the book is "All Star Definitively Interpreted Batman." Besides, didn't DKR get at least a somewhat similar reception? "Rambo in a cape," right?
But anyway, there's actually a copy of this script floating around? I've never heard of it.

If it's the one I'm thinking of, Google search Drew's Script-O-Rama. You should find it there.
Is it really possible to hate a movie that wasn't made?
"Oh, man, I freakin' hate that Year One movie."
"What Year One movie?"
"The one they didn't make. It was awful."

Sounds like that's right up Miller's alley.

We are talking about comic fans.
Comics fans manage to hate books they've never read... hell, hate books that aren't even out yet... hate the casting of an actor who's going to ruin an entire franchise... months before principal photography has even begun... call for the forced retirement of creators because they don't like a book...
Oh, and continue to buy books they hate (out of a desire to have a complete run) and expect the title to change to meet their interests.
I don't think hating movies that were never made is much of a stretch.

Yes All Star Batman and Robin is a reinterpretation of a legendary character. It's a different angle on a classic icon. A re inventing of a pop culture staple!
So was Batman and Robin and that was shit to.

Best post ever posted to this forum (by that, I mean all of CBR).
Naturally, only the Goddamn Batman could have been the one to do it.
