Yeah, other cities get comic conventions but Portland has the HPL Film Festival. Sweet! I'll see if I can stir up some posters and/or otherworldly items. Anyone hear the beat of the drums or is it just me?

Oh, check out the schedule and see WHO is going to be there!!!

BIG EDITS

Okay, the festival is fine with someone buying multiple copies of the Mignola poster. I went ahead and got 20 posters over the last two days. They are $12 each and are printed on nice paper at 16 inches x 20 inches.

If you are interested I am pricing everything at $20 if you're in the USA and $25.00 international. (this should cover the poster, poster tube and shipping).

I have the list of people that have asked for a poster below. Let me know if you are backing out so I can have it available for someone else. If I don't hear from you by Friday I'll release the poster spot to someone else. Cheers!

A bolded name means you have confirmed! Thanks. Also, the first 12 people that pay get one of the festival programs.

--------

By the way, the film festival has been fun. On Friday I met Mike and got to say hi. I got to say hi to Scott again. I met Shawna, who edits one of my other favorite Dark Horse titles, Cal McDonald/Criminal Macabre. The Dark Horse group is always so nice.

I got to see two segments of film shorts. I liked the diversity of the films and many of them were quite good. I was excited to see The Amazing Screw-On Head as one of the shorts. I was amazed at the audiences positive reaction. Not that I don't like the film, it's just that their laughter was that of someone seeing it for the first time. It's cool to think it was opened up to that many more people.

I took a picture of the theatre, a couple shots of the main screen, a shot of the front of the program (Dark Horse is a big supporter of the festival), and my new t-shirt.

On Saturday I played Batman Lego with my four year old until we kicked Two-Face, Riddler and Poison Ivy's butts. Then I went to the festival, grabbed some more posters for hellboarders and hit the Mignola Q & A Panel.

Some information that may or may not be known. At least two future stories featuring Edward Grey. One will be set in England and the follow up will be a collaboration with John Severin set in the Old West. You'll remember John as the artist for BPRD War on Frogs.

Some story ideas appropriate for Dr. Gosboro Coffin and other victorian era paranormal stuff may be weaved into the Edward Grey stories.

Mike mentioned that he feels he is getting his head above water in regards to writing and is looking forward to doing more art.

Oh, I got a personalized signature on my hardback of Art of Hellboy and HB Archive I. Yeah! I'm gonna hit another series of short films tonight and that'll be all for me. I am sad that I won't be able to make it back tomorrow. Scott Allie is doing another panel about Solomon Kane/Dark Horse. I'm hoping they are recording the sessions and will have them online.

It was actually quite comical finding the poster tubes. After the first three places even my four year old was asking why the stores didn't have more.

I did learn that several companies have really bad inventory and storage systems. Items were either missing from inventory or couldn't be found and the confused expressions of the people I was talking to made me really wonder.

Funny you should mention the art exchange Myron. I was just thinking of that this morning. I would be up for another exchange if others were. I should put up a post and see what the interest is.
