Stunning.

The shot of Hank, Emma, Scott and James wearing those hot outfits is my favorite thing I've seen in forever.

That looks better then the actual AXM books IMO.

The lack of Storm in this period piece preview is unacceptable.

Otherwise, it looks hot.

I wish a few of the Alan Davis pages were included in the preview.:frown:

Damn it!!!!...DAMN my fickle heart straight to hell...I am so luvin the art on this...I'm not pulling AXM (I HATEHATEHATE IT!!)...but I am SO luvin the art on this...It's only a two issue set (and the solicits said another fav of mine, Olivier Coipel is drawing the 2nd part)...but I hate AXM...oh, I am undecided and wretched...

Looking great!

I thought that the Ghost Boxes would follow (only) Subject X before he met up with the X-Men. Luckily that's not the case.

Edit: According to the solicits this is released same week as AXM 27.

He wouldn't be able to keep up. Even if you did a rotating artist thing, he'd still fall behind.

A combination of delays and the 'need' to buy an additional two-issues mini (of sorts) just to follow the main arc. Not cool.

I can understand having an issue with the delays (they have already started), but isn't the AXM:GB mini essentially AXM with a change of title? Hence even fixing (almost) the delay problem.

The first 6 issues of the last Iron Man series... the one before the Fraction/Larocca one.

I'd accept him falling behind. It'd be worth the wait. That's just how I feel, anyway.

I think they're doing different parts. Oliver Copiel and Kaare Andrews are doing issue 2 btw... pretty stunning lineup of artists actually, they're all beyond amazing.

It'll be a treat to see Davis and Copiel specifically drawing Storm again imo.

Alternate universe?

It looks like this is taking place in an alternate reality...the murderer from AXM 26 probably travelled to Reality 616 via the Ghost box.
Those versions of the X-Men are investigating the same case as our 616 version of the X-Men.

Alternate universe?

Seems fairly clear they're not in our time. I'm guessing steampunk setting from the looks of it. Zeppelins, flying contraptions, late 19th century clothes. Looks pretty, big fan of retro sci-fi.

He also did a ton of covers for later Iron Man: Director of SHIELD issues.

Great artist, but he's definitely not suited, timewise, to the pressure of an ongoing gig.

It's ugly. Also, Cyclops is the best character the X-Men have going right now, he's the most compelling and is involved in a lot of interesting plotlines. He's the post-CW Iron-Man for the X-Men. Hopefully they will do a better job fleshing it out than they with Tony.

Davis art as of late has looked really sloppy and as if he hasn't put much effort into it for some reason. =/

And yeah Cyke has been really fleshed out the past year or so and he's enjoyable to read. He's one of the few XMen to get like a major overhaul from what he once was.

I think Granov should be the regular artist on AXM. Nothing against Simone...some of his pages are really good, but other's come off so-so. I'd like to see what Simone's pencils look like with an inker and colorist. Alan Davis works for me more for Thor stories...his Wolverine looks funny to me.

I said the same thing, but after hearing the responses I did some research and found that Granov does actually take ages to draw those pages. The delays would be far worse then Cassady/Whedon.
