I think that Hunter × Hunter won't last as long as some of the other shonen manga out there, as it is things are pretty much layed out for us to see what's about. Gon has to find his father, Kurapika has he's beef with the Phantom Troupe along with taking care of the matter of Neon Nostrade and her nen abilities in regards to the Mafia Community.

With Killua's family, you know they're going to be more involved in some way other than they are now; there's even a good chance that both Killua and gon will come to blows over their views sooner or later to boot.

While we haven't seen anything of Leorio yet, it's Hisoka who really interests me, he going to fight Chrollo Lucilfer when he get's his nen back, so we'll have to see whether or not he even survives as we know it.

There's only so long we can wait before four certain fruits become ripe enough to eat, Gon and Killua already have Hatsu skills, it's only a few more arc before "you know what."

For those who are interested, apparently HunterXHunter will resume publication sometime in October.

Rejoice!

They're going to have to be creative in coming up with new threats, though.

At the moment Killua and Gon are fighting alongside the recognized strongest man in the world, and his students (and their students). Yet Netero isn't even considered to be that much stronger than the Ant generals.

And it's hinted that Gon will be the one to finally throw down with Nef. Y'know, the Ant general who has that 'En' that puts Nobunaga's to shame (stretching out for several milers), can cross several miles in an instant, and whomped Kaito.

Where you do go from there? Any more training sessions with Biscuit after this, and the Ryodan just don't seem that big a deal anymore. Either Gon or Killua could easily take the place of downed members from that group.

That's my point about it not lasting that long, it's like with Yu Yu Hakusho, after the dark tournament and defeating Sensui, Yusuke and others where in classes of their own, they where the strongest beings in human world, taking things to demon world was the only way to create any real challenge, even if Kuwabara was not with them physically (being there in spirit, in that one scene with Kurama), he himself is still the strongest human in the living world.

The only things I can think of now that need to be seen to are the ninja guy, and guy who was strong to avoid being turned into an Chimera Ant, Killua and his missing brother Alluka. Along with all this it's already been told by Neon Nostrade's prediction that Chrollo Lucilfer will be the only surviving of the Phantom Troupe.

Leorio himself needs to be seen, he's the least developed of the four, both in character and in nen.
