Rockband 2

I bought this today: 09 - 18- 08

It's like the first one just with different songs. My downloaded songs showed up on it so that was good. Since I love Rockband I already love this game. I haven't checked it out much yet. My brother and newphew and I kicked out about 6 songs after making our avatars.

My only problem - why did the new Star Wars game have to released at the same time? :mad:

I forgot to mention that there seems to be a lot of new clothes to buy. I don't mean this as a slam but there seemed a lot of gay clothes to buy. Making a Freddie Mercury or an Elton John avatar seems relatively easy. Lots of glam stuff. Making Disco Dazzler seems very attainable.

We started out in Boston and our avatars seemed to be in very efeminate (sic) poses. We kind of looked at each other and wondered if our guys were in a gay bar complete with several cut shots of our band talking with dudes!

Also, if you download the latest update for Rock Band (the first) you can export THOSE songs into Rock Band 2!

Me, I love the songs that are geek fantasy fulfilments.... Rocking out 'Bad Reputation' and 'Rebel Girl'? Nerdgasm.

I hit my first roadblock in the game last night. There's a 9 song setlist in Boston, I think, that's called something like the Harmonix Set or something like that. I normally try stuff on Expert guitar, but I figured 9 songs was a big investment so I did it on Hard instead. Welllll, the last song is IMPOSSIBLE. I tried it at least 30 times and could get past 25% only twice. I think the band was called Abnormality or something like that. I don't remember what the song was called, but I had to shutdown without saving else I'd have lost like 300,000 fans or something ridiculous.

I do hate that you get stuck playing shitty songs.

Most bands choose their own setlists. Maybe they will fix this in Rock Band 3.

I usually have been roped in on vocals with my roommates playing guitar. Some songs are fun. Others leave me in pain. Plus sometimes I just can't get the voice right. Thank goodness that Run to the Hills didn't transfer over to 2. Ugh.

Since there are no songs by my favorite bands of Led Zeppelin, Cream and the Beatles I don't love any of the songs.

Some of the songs by big name bands are a little sucky but I figure the game will have more songs from them for download. I really enjoy Guns n Roses. I've never heard of their song from the game called Shackler's Revenge. AC/DC's Let there Be Rock? I'm waiting for Hell's Bells and Back in Black!

I was pleasantly surprised by Beck's E-Pro. Never heard it before but I like it.

Spirit in the Sky by Norm Green-something or other is probably my current favorite song on RB 2.

I'm looking forward to more or better songs from AC/DC, Journey, Guns N Roses, and the Allman Brothers. If Courtney needs more money I'm hoping for Heartshaped Box from Nirvana and some of their other bigger songs.

You can listen to more new Guns n Roses songs by going on youtube and finding the leaks. But yep..."Shackler's Revenge" is wild to listen to. Love the start ...makes ya think "This is Guns n Roses ?" This is supposed to be on the Chinese Democracy album if it ever comes out this decade.
