For decades DC comics and comics in general used various rainbow hued aliens as proxies for homegrown race issues.

Blue skinned kree vs pink

White martians vs green (and red saturnians)

etc.

it's vestigial at this point i think

You specifically said it's something DC has been doing for decades, and then the only other example you gave was from Marvel comics. So you don't get $ 200.

Actually, he said "DC and comics in general". Look at his post again. Unless he edited it so that he was no longer wrong.

Another example: the orange and blue shelled robots from the EC comic "Judgement Day".
