This book got a lot of tremendous reviews, but I'm not posting it for that reason--I just think Amy, one of my favorite comics commentators, brings up a very cool point about Diana.

Well, from the previews I´ve seen I can understand why this issue stroke a chord.
I fear many WW writers missed the mark by not focusing on her personal, emotional life which is AS important as bashing giant robots.
On a personal level I always felt she was a bit barren until just now.

Dear Friends,
I enjoyed WW#24 too. One question about the woman that Diana hugged (I can't recall her name at the moment): are we meant to think that she is one of the lost Amazons?
Sincerely,
Shaun

It's definitely a mystery--but you won't have long to wait to find out!

It's how I interpreted it. Especially since Diana's the spirit of truth and all, I imagine it'd be easy for her to spot who was truly an Amazon.

I LOVE Amy's reviews. I also thought that The Hug was the emotional core of issue #24. And Bernard really NAILED that scene.

I honestly thought Bernard did one of the best interpretations of both Hippolyta and Themyscira EVER. I just was knocked out by his work on this issue.
And wait'll you see next issue!
:)
Seriously, it makes me happy just to LOOK at it.

The detail he put into everything in the Themyscira pages blew me away. It was gorgeous.

I thought it was an Amazon at first, but then I thought something else. I won't say, though. I don't want to ruin the surprise if I'm correct.

I liked it.
But something wrong about Diana and Nemesis relationship. Reading it I dont fell anything is apening between them at all.
It almost look like a arenge marriage or something.
She almost look sorry he did'nt get his arm eaten.
Is there something more going on here?

I think we're suppossed to suspect Allison Condero is an Amazon, maybe a Bana. She's certainly tall enough to be one. But she appears to have daughters, which presents a problem. Her beng a lost Amazon seems too easy an answer. As does the suppossition that her 'problem' is drugs. Intriguing none the less.
It was cute to see a character within the book take Diana to task over her "costume sense" I thought.
I'm not seeing the issues in Diana and Tom's relationship, Diana is naturally very busy and she's also testing Tom so it's bound to be a little forced but she wouldn't have brought him to meet her mother if she wasn't serious.
I've also seen it asked "Why is Tom suddenly in love with Diana ?" when it's been fairly clearly established in the book he's always loved her, if mostly from afar. I'm still not quite sure he hasn't twigged that Diana Prince is Wonder Woman again. He must have by now, surely ?
She still hasn't done anything other than to begin courting him so I do wonder where the comments that she's rushing into things come from. It should also be remembered that Diana Prince and Tom have been partners for at least six months by now. Which is plenty of time for a relationship to spark.
