I was watching last Wednesday's episode of America's Next Top Model (my girlfriend's a fan of the show), when I was startled by a comment from supermodel judge Paulina Porizkova. She was looking at a picture of a really tall and pretty fake redhead wearing a green dress, and the redhead had a slightly exaggerated look on her face, magnified by her big and expressive mouth. Paulina declared that the girl looked "like the lovechild of Poison Ivy and the Joker." I was impressed.

Slide over to 2:29 to get to the good part.

There's also the possibility that she's a big fan of Schumacher's Batman and Robin, and Burton's Batman.

For some reason it wouldn't surprise me if she was a Bat-man fan of some degree i mean she married Ric Ocaseck for pete's sake !

She might remember Poison Ivy simply from a fashion perspective. She looked pretty um unique in B&R and maybe she's seen the Dini pin-ups around the place, I can imagine alot of designers would have liked those.
the image isn't actually that far from how Ivy should look in her first appearance. She's dresses up in a glamourous way to attract Batman and the original 1960's first appearance hinges on fashion society and 'pop art villains' (who eventually became Vegas dancers according Morrisons run  ha ha ) and the Gaiman origin has her as teenager with Batman posters and merchandise all over her wall. It's all very media and fashion influenced, she should look like a real contemporary 'it' girl with a credible sense of style and not just some chick stuck in generic tights. so I like that image.

An easy explanation could be...
She's got two sons. Even if the Batman comic book vibe had somehow skipped both her and Ric, its not unlikely at all that her 15 year old and 10 year old boys (according to her Wikipedia page at least, that's their ages) litter their house with comic books.
She also has a step-son, obviously from an earlier marriage of Ric's, who's desribed on her Wikipedia page as an "illustrator" (she wrote a children's book and he illustrated it).
[EDIT - Wikipedia says Ric has SIX sons, two from each of three marriages. So that gives Paulina four step-sons as well as two sons to have "learned" Batman and Poison Ivy from.]
Or she may indeed know it from her own knowledge. She's a self-described "geek" if I remember interviews I've heard with her. Actually, if you read her bio information she's a fascinating person, even aside from her rather immense physical appeal.

Oh, I'll confess to having seen a few episodes of that show. It's the kind of show where you point and laugh. A lot of self-important B.S., with a host who thinks she's all that (and hasn't been for over a decade), and a prize which turns out to be nonsense, since a friend tells me that no contestant who's ever been on the show is famous anywhere except maybe in Japan.

And i also think it's a lot harder to become successfull in modelling than a lot of other places like Music.

depends on how you define 'success' in modelling. becoming Helena Christenson? or merely having enough to pay rent, get an education, buy fruit juices, shop at boutiques, get a facial etc. that's not that hard if you're born beautiful, faaar easier than surviving on musical talent alone from my observations

I think it's a lot easier in music cause you have access to tv and radio where the fashion industry seems more inclusive.
