Tekken 6: Bloodline Rebellion

It’s an enhanced version of Tekken 6, expected to appear in arcades in December. This is probably the version that’s going to be released on the PS3 when Tekken 6 finally comes out. Two new characters were announced today one female and one male. Rumored names are Alisa Boskonovich (related to Dr Boskonovich perhaps?)and Lars Alexanderson (something to do with Alex perhaps?).:biggrin:

2 MORE character in addition to Bob, Zathina, Leo, and Migule? 6 in total brand new faces, move sets, stories, personalities? Damn. Namco is holding nothing back for this one. If were them I'd think it would be prudent to reserve a few characters for future installments.

I can't believe there's already an updated version while the original hasn't even shipped in the US yet? This is so freakin' unfair! How long has T6 already been released in Japan?

Originally they had some unique characters and now they're following the same routine. The girls look dreadfully oversexed (who would wear any of that in a battle?), and the guys look stereotypical as can be.

I don't know, I really like Bob (and I don't mean Hwoarang).


But I'd love to see a judo character, and a non-model looking female (or a black female for that matter). Heck, combined it: a plus-sized black female with a judo-oriented fighting style.

I'd also like to see a character with a more brawler style. A Def Jam: Fight 4 NY-ish street fighter; an extremely reckless fighting style to contrast everyone else (Bryan just doesn't cut it).

Serious lols at "oversexed". Pretty much every female in this game is fully clothed. It's not even like Soul Calibur where people can whine about breast size.

Paul uses some judo. Since that fighting style really doesn't use punches or kicks, it's unlikely you'll see anyone using Judo in Tekken outside of a few special throws.

I mean someone like Goh from Virtua Fighter. Plus, King and Ganryu have styles that are mostly based on grappling, but they were able to fit them into the gameplay.

OMG you have have to check out this new footage of Tekken 6: Blood Rebellion's new character Alysa. She by far has the most jaw-dropping move set of any present character. You'll see what I mean. Don't worry about that.

To be honest, I was more enthused by the stage with the sheep than anything Alysa did. The music there and the sheep being knocked about really put a smile on my face, but I guess Alysa's outlandish moves aren't so bad either. I'll admit that I disliked her when she was first unveiled, so I guess its a little harder for me to appreciate some of her attacks.

I don't much like the look of her, overall. I don't know if it's the dress, the colour scheme, her hair or the way those components all look together, but something about her appearance just bugs me. Maybe I'll work it out once I see how she looks after people tweak those varying elements.

I bought my PS3 last year because I heard that 6 was finally coming out. Was it announced and then delayed when they decided to port it over to the 360 or what?

Either way I'm selling my 360. I don't have that one game that remotely justified keeping it as a gaming system.
