Me too! She hasn't appeared in a comic book since like... Exiles #40 something? I have no idea who that fucked up retardo clone that ran around in Excalibur was though.

It's amazing that the one book that even Judd Winnick couldn't fuck up and CC ends up being the worst writer on there ever.

I miss the original Exiles but right now i am completely sick of alternate universe stories.

I just often feel like I don't belong since I enjoyed Bedard's run.

It's all the zombies and monkeys, isn't it?

thats because claremont alternate realities suck!!!!! am i the only one that realize that all the realities claremont done in the new exiles has somthing to do with royalty panther's vengence and the last arc with the french and british
and #14 daughters of the dragon sons of the iron i mean u can tell he's british
just from his writing

but we shouldn't blame claremont the exiles are not an easy book to write contrary to belief and here are the reasons why

1. you got to have a good blend of characters on the team and make them intresting(which all the originals were)you got to have characterization in how the team treats each other and how they feel about the mission

2.you have to create an good reality with detail (ex legacy planet and worlds apart)

3.you have to have the mission make sense (not always saving something ex. hard choices and the danish issue)

4.and every year you had to make a intresting new character

claremont has done none of the above we have 4 characters which we already know alot about but mystic rouge and kitty we kno nothing about or why rouge and mystic are on the team the way he writes the characters are not good sage calling morph kevin wtf i know thats his name but c'mon now he's morph. i dont like how the team interact with each other its just feels real scripted

his realities are not really that good i mean the first arc was alright but sense then its been nothing but royalty princes kings queens thats always at war or in love with a stupid dragon!!!! his villians are lame and boring

i think claremonts outdated i didnt even reconize nocturne in excalibur and worse of all he gave 21 year old an stroke which is stupid

sorry for the bashing but this was the best book on the shelves and now id rather have bendis write it

Y'know I loved old Exiles for the simple fact that it had NOTHING to do with 616. I still don't see the reason for 616 characters to be on the team! We know what's going on in 616, we know who the characters are, leave them where they are. If we wanted to see 616 characters traverse the multiverse we would all be reading Fantastic Four.

Anyway! I SO miss the old line up. Morph was pure gold on the team and does anyone else miss the way he always 'morphed' into something different in each panel on Judd's run? That's something I miss with 'Morpheous' these days.

Also Mimic was really cool in the beginning before Bedard softened him up. The guy was a one man army and the real leader of the team.

Sigh. I just hope one day the originals return and the book is returned to its former glory. Not to say NExiles is bad but come on. Dosen't have a patch on the old stuff. ;-)

I don't think 616 characters should be discriminated against.

While nostalgia in reasonable doses can provide a sense of comfort for stressed-out adults, too much nostalgia can have a negative effect. It is very common to believe that an earlier decade was preferable to present day ones, but that viewpoint can be misleading. People who grew up in the 1950s may remember hula hoops, Elvis Presley and penny candies, but they usually don't indulge memories of McCarthyism, repressive roles for women and a lack of racial equality. Every decade has its positive and negative aspects, so an unrealistic sense of nostalgia may create an unhealthy distortion of reality. Some people can get caught up in feelings of nostalgia that make their current lives seem mundane or unfulfilling by comparison.

Didn't he nearly change every panel under Pelletier's pencil? (Maybe only pre-Claremont...)

I seem to recall it that way.

But, yes, I miss those days.
