Emmas puffy cheeks are further proof that Scott has knocked her up.

I just want them to get this book to the point where Cable is doing some epic things again like raising Providence from the ocean, using massive amounts of his power to change things, etc. The whole run from Bishop angle is only going to work for so long....and it's somewhat boring.

When did Beast grow a foot and a half? Other than that the preview looks...okay. Still don't like this time-hopping direction for Cable and want him back in the present, but I might check this out if the rest of the X-men are in it. I'll probably flip through it in the store before I buy, though. Just in case the X-men are only in the first few pages.

emma frost's hair has NEVER, EVER, EVER been curly. seriously, only since greg land has it been/ i HATE this, so much. just giv e her the straight hair and make someone like magma have the curly. don't switch it around, it messes with their iconic look. i think the long straight hair makes her look more like an ice queen instead of just a ditzy model.

Hmm. From the preview, seems as if Emma finds out something she didn't want to know? Hmm... maybe that Bishop is right?

I just really don't like this baby, also really don't like them aging Cable like this. He was old enough as it is, now he looks really old.

Well, to be honest there are a couple of Emma shots that are nice enought

But the colour and the somewath photorealist art... I am not convinced that are the best suited to have in a x-book
And yes, Cable is becoming too old

It does seem interesting that they keep aging Cable and the baby so fast. I'm expecting some sort of twist somewhere along the way. Perhaps Cable gets far enough into this alternate future to meet up with a younger version of himself, and that's who ultimately comes back to the present with the kid?
There was that rumor awhile back...

Ack! The art is terrible. Emma looks absolutely awful.
I don't get the aging of Cable. Ariel has been drawing him like he's in his 60s before, and now he looks like he's John McCain's age.
I've always thought by the time Nathan and the "baby" return, she'll be a teenager, but if they keep aging Nate, he'll be using a walker.

I just really don't like this baby, also really don't like them aging Cable like this. He was old enough as it is, now he looks really old.
I'm not sure how I feel about Cable getting old so quickly and suddenly. I suppose I'm okay with it. I don't want him getting replaced with a younger version or some such nonsense, though. Better to let him die off in some noble fashion than to replace him a la Iron Man in The Crossing.
And I say that as a huge fan of Cable.
I'm curious as to how old he's supposed to be here. I remember in the letters column for Cable #43 back in 1997, the editors said that he was in his early 30s at that time.
I can't imagine more than three or four years should have passed since then in the Marvel Universe (not counting however long Cable's been running around the future).
But, then, when you've got Iron Man saying in Civil War: The Confession (from 2007) that Iron Man #150 (from 1981) happened "a couple of years ago," who the hell knows.
I mean, supposedly a year to the day passed in the comics time from X-Factor #34 (the death of Candy Southern; November 1988) to her return and second death (Uncanny X-Men #306; November 1993), and — if I remember right — another year passed between Onslaught: Marvel Universe (October 1996) and X-Men #71 (when the heroes returned; January 1998).
Quite how we're supposed to avoid at least one more year having passed between 1981 and 1988, and then 1998 to 2007 ... I'm not sure. But I'd say it's safe to wager more than a couple of years should have fallen between '81 and 2007.
But then this is comic time we're talking about, and it's never a rewarding pursuit to try to make sense of that.

bah, he might have aged a few years, but he's not old, not in these pics. He's just forgotten to shave. I mean, can you remember cable issue one, he had a beard in that and looked well old. beards do that to anyone.

While the art is pretty hard to stomach, I think this is actually what Emma would look like. Pre-surgery that is.
I've never seen a redhead with an afro at that baby's age.
I wonder if Cable will dress up as Santa for Xmas for little Jeanie

My thinking was that, while he would be physically replaced with a younger version of himself, he would download all of his memories into the younger version's mind via their respective techno-organics. So in many ways it would be the same guy, just younger. In other words, looking less like this:

And more like this:

Just my thinking on how it might work if it were to happen. I'm probably wrong, though, and he'll get back to the present some other way and just be like 80 years old by the time he does (but still looking fairly young somehow like Magneto or Xavier).

Maybe the Messiah Baby will steal some of his age and that will be how she becomes the Red Queen.

No need to involve time travel or cloning... if Nate wants to look like that again, he just needs a razor.

I was kinda hoping that the baby was aging at an accelerate rate...beardy old Cable isn't cool!
Still loving the story though.

Yeah... I don't think he's that old. His hair has gone prematurely white, and he's just grown out a beard. I personally like the look.
