I was just browsing through the listings on the comicbookdb for the two long-running What If? series, and it occured to me that a surprising number of their scenarios have come to pass in the last few years.
1. What if Captain America and Bucky both survived WWII? (http://www.comicbookdb.com/issue.php?ID=71432)
2. What if Spider-Man had not married Mary Jane? (http://www.comicbookdb.com/issue.php?ID=45977)
3. What if the Punisher became Captain America? (http://www.comicbookdb.com/issue.php?ID=60661) (admittedly, that was only temporary.)
This isn't the first time such things have come to pass -- for instance, What if the Hulk had the brain of Bruce Banner? (http://www.comicbookdb.com/issue.php?ID=7708) and What if Spider-Man's clone had survived? (http://www.comicbookdb.com/issue.php?ID=56411) -- but it seems to me this is the first time that it had happened in such rapid succession.
