Hey, like the title says, I'm new to this book (just got and read the first TPB), and its excellent but there's just a few thing I don't get that I'm not sure if I just missed or if they explain later or what.
1. Is Omniman's identity as Nolan Grayson known to everyone or just to his family?
Um, I had more questions but can't remember them right now. I'll post back if I can think of anything else.

just to his friends and familly and the government but it's not publicly known, the public do know, however, that invincible is omniman's son from the things said when they fought, like "dad"

Ha, well, that makes it almost worse than Superman. Omniman doesn't even wear glasses... and he should have his face on the back of a bunch of books...
Oh well, this is still a great book.

Let's just say that the story follows a teenager's natural progression through the education system.

I picked up issue #52, having never read it before, and was completely blown away. This comic is F**&(king AWESOME. Its got dark humor and gore, fantastic artwork, I thought this would be average or same old same ol. I read Walking Dead, and thats what got me curious about his other titles, needless to say Im hooked, Im headed to the comic store today to pick up the first 3 trades in HC. Invincible is going on the pull list and something from Marvel is getting dropped.

I like that it has an amount of realism that is believable. The main characters make mistakes and aren't held to some ridiculous level of perfection. Yes, it does have more blood than normal but that's not a problem for me.
