Advance Marvel Solicitations for December 2008

Marvel.com has Spider-Man (http://marvel.com/news/comicstories.4934.FIRST_LOOK~colon~_December_2008_ Spider-Man_Comics), Marvel Adventures (http://www.marvel.com/news/comicstories.4946.FIRST_LOOK~colon~_December_2008_ Bonus_Previews), and Best-Selling Authors (http://www.marvel.com/news/comicstories.4942.FIRST_LOOK~colon~_December_2008_ BSA_Previews)

Newsarama (http://www.newsarama.com/comics/080916-marve-december-solicitations.html) has the bulk of the MU, plus MAX and Icon.

Full solicits will be out tomorrow at noon EST.

Is it just me, or are the number of "preview" solicits getting to the point where they might as well just bite the bullet and release the actual solicits a day early? There can't be too many books that aren't being covered, here.

I know, I've wondered the same thing. And just wait, IGN will have their "preview" up later today too. Between them, they will pretty much have them all covered.

Was anyone else caught off by the fact that the solicitation for Daredevil #114 says, "It's an all out kung-fu ninja battle..." when kung-fu is a Chinese term referring to martial arts, while ninja are historically rooted in Japan? Nitpicky, I know, but it still raised my eyebrow.:smile:

Is there a way to know every month or does it change month to month?I could be wrong, but I think it's usually the third Tuesday of the month.

I never remember that new solicits are coming until I start seeing links to them on CBR and other comics news sites, though.

I can't remember if it's the middle Tuesday of the month or just falls somewhere between 15-18th.

I really like the Blue Marvel's design.

I'm not paying 3.99 an issue for all these mini's or one-shots.

I'm excited for Diggles Thunderbolts now, after I was thinking of dropping it.

I will never buy anything drawn by Chaykin. Ever.

This month doesnt look too impressive from the solicits shown in my opinion. And I laugh at the Sentry clone of Blue Marvel. Where did he go 40 yrs ago? Where did the twelve go 100 years ago? Marvel needs to have some better ideas. They cant even write Sentry right and they want to make all these new characters that fell off the map.

The Twelve weren't new characters, they are actual Golden Age Marvel heroes who've been overlooked for decades.
