Hello,
Have there been many 'year one' type stories done in the modern era (post 1st Crisis) for Alan Scott or Jay Garrick?
I'm specifically wondering if someone has done a modern story featuring the first time that Alan Scott/Green Lantern ever went up against Solomon Grundy? I know Ed Brubaker did the Alan Scott/GL team up with Batman, but I was wondering of other stories out there.
I've been a big fan of Sandman Mystery Theatre, even though it is kind of not considered a part of regular DC continuity (even though it probably could be) and was wondering of other good modern stories showing the JSA guys in their 'prime' or when they got started.
I know if I was DC, I think my big idea for a cool weekly series would be one called something called like '1939' and have it have all of the origins of the JSA members with the series building up to the origin of the JSA and the start of WWII. I'd definitely like to see some modern told stories with Alan Scott in Gotham, Jay Garrick/the Flash and Wildcat when they were young.
I like All Star Squadron and all, but more solo stories or just how they all first got together.
