Maybe this should be moved to Marvel Universe, but it's obviously got something to do with She-Hulk, to an extent, so here it is. Slott said that he was actually going to make this, and Marvel has it approved. Anyone have any idea on what it actually is?

I met Slott at a convention in NY years ago and back then he talked about this concept that, if memory serves be right, he wrote himself. It got sidtracked cuz of CW so you can see how long this one has been on the backburner. It's origins I think come from concepts from his first runs on She-hulk and will involve some space elements or somthing similar to what he dabbled with in She-hulk. He actually tips this off, or rather eludes to it in one of the She'hulk runs, I don't remeber which at the moment so maybe someone can elabirate for us. I'm gonna just eat it up when it finally does come out  .

It definitely was eluded to in his She-Hulk run, and it was known that Southpaw and Kid Glove (Gauntlet's son) fight in it. I would bet some of his Initiative creations will be involved as well if this ever comes to fruition.

Does anyone remember what aspects of it were mentioned in She-Hulk? Did She-Hulk START it? I don't remember.

The incident that apparently will eventually lead to the Reckoning War, took place in She-Hulk (2004) #7 (but we didn't know that was the incident until She-Hulk 2005 #20).

She-Hulk joins The Magistrati, judges, jurors and advocates of universal law working under The Living Tribunal. In the same issue, she sits in judgement on a suit brought against The Watchers by a race of recluses. They had managed to keep their planet hidden from everyone and everything, until a Watcher named Qyre discovered them in his sector of space. The recluses found it unnaceptable that they had been discovered, and they believed that since one Watcher had seen them, all Watchers must have seen them.

The Watchers at the trial said that was a misstake, and that they hadn't gathered and shared their information yet, and that Qyre was still the only Watcher who had seen the recluses.

She-Hulk made the decision that if Qyre was to remain silent, he could never share the knowledge of the recluses with the other Watchers, and he would remain the only one to have seen them. The recluses found the decision acceptable, and Qyre's mouth was removed, and from then on, he wouldn't be at the Watchers' gatherings. I guess he was going to spend the rest of eternity alone in his sector of space, never reporting back? Kinda sad, actually.

Then in the second volume of She-Hulk, #20, we see that the planet of the recluses has been taken over by an unknown space looking guy (who killed 'em all) and imprisoned the Watcher Qyre (he also called him "old friend" which appeared in quotation marks in the issue, so I'm assuming it has some meaning). The bad guy then said "Plenty of time to prepare my forces. Years. Centuries. However long it takes. And when the time is right... There shall be a reckoning!"

I believe the guantlets that Southpaw and Guantlet wear are also connected to the event, but as far as I remember, that was never clarified in any issue of anything, just mentioned by Slott on various message boards over the past couple of years.

So yeah, in a sense, She-Hulk actually started whatever The Reckoning War will be (only a few panels of the war were actually shown in the book, and in those panels we saw a dead Watcher, and another Watcher, Zoma, clocking She-Hulk upside the head screaming that it was all her fault, and her agreeing).

And just 'cause I'm really anal  , as mentioned before, Kid Glove is actually a girl, and it was never mentioned that she was Guantlet's kid in any issues of She-Hulk (she only appeared in a few panels in issue #3/#100 alongside Southpaw, fighting Clockwise, before Southpaw was plucked from time to defend She-Hulk in court). Dan Slott may have said somewhere at one point though that Kid Glove is Gauntlet's daughter, but I never read it anywhere. And it was never clarified whether or not she took part in it, although Southpaw did say that she took part in it.

Sorry... that was WAY too long!!

Forgot to add, that ANY major event that Dan Slott is the driving force behind... I'M SO THERE!!

He really does seem to have some very large, universal spanning ideas in his head. He had She-Hulk working for The Living Tribunal, he made us all think that Thanos' love of death was due to Starfox telling him to embrace it when they were kids, which would've been the driving force behind every evil thing Thanos ever did (turns out it was a Thanos clone and he was lying... that bastard... ), he had She-Hulk (in basically a single panel) save the entire Marvel Universe from The Living Tribunal who was questioning whether or not to wipe out the regular universe in favor of keeping the more streamlined Ultimate Universe and he's basically created (if not on a page, then in his mind) a super-hero team for every single state of the U.S.

The guy seems to be busting with HUGE ideas, and I for one, can't wait until he starts to REALLY get his way with the Marvel Universe!
