Hi I would like to introduce http://www.sequentialplanet.com/ to you. http://www.sequentialplanet.com/ is a new comic book website dedicated to having the best Photoshop and illustrator video tutorials.

We are asking people in the comic book community if they would like to contribute to making video tutorials in helping other people mastering the craft of comic books.

You will need screen capture software to record yourself in Photoshop and illustrator or any other artistic program you use.

Windows
Camtasia Studio

Hyperionics

Fraps is more for videos games but can do screen capturing.

As for windows I’m a fan of Camtasia Studio.

For MAC

SequentialPlanet.com also has a talent search on the message board. Just make a post if you need an artist, writer, inker, colorist or a letterer.

The one thing that we are asking people who are willing to make tutorials, is that time lapse videos do not qualify as video learning tutorials. Those can still be posted, but only in the Comic Book & Manga Workshop section on the message board.

Once you record your screen capture you can upload your video to these sites. And please remember to mention http://www.sequentialplanet.com/ in the video, so people can discuss the tutorial they just learned. These are some of the sites you can upload your videos to.

http://www.vimeo.com/

Then post the link URL not the embed code. Sequentialplanet.com will take the URL and embed the video its self.

With the growing number of video sites becoming more and more popular every day, I feel that having your videos on the web will also be very positive promotion for your books. So it’s a win, win for everyone.

As for pencillers and inkers you’re also welcome to make videos. You will be just need a camcorder to film your self.

And yes I know my website sucks.
