What are some strong trades I could pick up, and in what order?

The little bits and pieces of this guy I've read always have intrigued me, and I'd like to go in for more.

Yes. Kevin Smith did a 15 issue run.

After that kevin left. Not sure you'll like the trades after that, but here they are:

What's going on in December?

Winick's leaving GA/BC and hopefully being replaced by a writer who's better then him. (Although knowing Didio, we'll get Bruce Jones writing Green Arrow.)

So was the Green Arrow title relaunched as GA/BC? Any chance of him getting his own book back again?

The writer was already announced you mouth-breathing anti-didio dolt.
It's Andrew Kreisberg.

Well then, I didn't actually know that a replacement had been announced. There's no need for insults.

I agree that the trades collecting the early issues of the present series were very good indeed.

But, if you're not allergic to reading back issues there's another place to start... the wonderful Mike Grell run is available at laughably low prices. That's issues 1 to 80 of Green Arrow vol 1. Hard to fault... as long as you don't insist on reading super hero comics. (Oliver is written as a tough guy adventurer, and street level vigilante. Even when Hal Jordan appears, he just takes off his ring and Oliver and Hal promptly have a fist fight over something or other.)

So is the current book any good?
