Question: Why would Sivana have a particular beef with G.A.? I know he's just a mean old S.O.B., but did I miss some past grudge that would have led to Sivana especially wanting Shado to off Ollie?

I imagine that Winnck took all the mad scientist types and threw their names in a hat. Sivana is the name that came out.

Not surprised especially, but pleased nonetheless. I'm fond of Team Arrow and I like to see them catch a break before the world ends.

Most of Winick's work tends to be quite similar. The HIV/AIDS stuff shows up in "Pedro and Me" and in "Green Arrow", for example.

I imagine that it has more to do with it being Shado making the request than anything Green Arrow might or might not have done. I think he was just trying to mess with her. You know, "Your son can live, but you have to kill his father".

If it had been Talia coming to him for help with Damien, he probably would have told her to kill Batman.

Winick used Sivana a lot in OUTSIDERS, so I presume he just reused a favorite character instead of finding someone else who might be more interesting in the role. (Instead it was "Sivana again? Eh.")

This entire arc was a piece of crap and went on far too long. After reading this issue I felt like throwing it in the trash. I really enjoyed BC's search for GA during the first arc, the emotional scene at the hospital, and the fact that the JLA came to GA's aid when Connor was shot. Everything else after that went straight down hill. I love BC when she is written right but lately she hasn't. I hope this comic improves ASAP or I'm going to have to start keeping my $3.00 in my pocket.
