Manga Series To Avoid

I don't buy a lot of Manga these days, in fact I have never purchased much so don't really have the knowledge of it I have of anime.

So I was just wondering which manga series really stink up the place & should be avoided at all costs & why?

Any manga in the Baki series.

The story is almost nonexistent since most of it i just one fight after another and its not a god thing since art literary hurt your eyes. The characters are mostly unlikable. All you get is badly drawn half naked med pummeling one another chapter after chapter and talking bullshit. Did I mention that there are barely any women in this manga and those who are aren't even interesting.

I wouldn't pay for Baki certainly not.

I still quite like the art in places and something about the story is morbidly fascinating to me.

But yeah, it's not high quality by any stretch of the imagination but it has a certain bizarre charm to it.

the fights are decent, but the direction is shit on a cloggy toilet.

I suspect most of the truly awful manga doesn't get exported at all, since it bombs in Japan and the companies figure there's no money in translating it for a foreign audience...

I see Baki the Grappler as the poor man's version of Fist of The North Star. Except FOTNS has a far better story, better art, and you have likable characters.

Not surprised to hear Baki mentioned, I purchased the anime in a sale years ago and it proved to be one of the biggest wastes of money ever, even at knock down prices.

The whole series is nothing more then a power fantasy by Itagaki.

The funny thing is that I'm now becoming slightly interested in checking the Baki series out.
