Comics Now #3, $5.99 - I was worried this might have been another short lived comics mag, but maybe they were just retooling a bit? I liked the articles. There only bad section was the "We Read It For You..." which seemed a couple months out of date. But they mentioned our own Augie and Jamie so how bad can they be?

Ultimate Origins #4
Ms. Marvel #30 (Marvel) - by Reed, Melo, Benes, Siqueira, Sotomayor: I enjoy Melo's art, she brings makes characters interesting to watch, but in this issue and as of late, the story itself is the downer for me. I may soon drop this because of it.
The Lone Ranger #13 (Dynamite Entertainment) - by Matthews, Cariello, Pinto, Cassaday: This was a good issue, but again, too little happening in it makes for a dulling read. With the time in between each issue, this may be a better read in trade form.
I Kill Giants #2 (Image) - by Kelly, Nimura: Another fun issue with more detail on the main character, though she is hard to read as to whether or not her story about the mythological creatures will hold true. The backup again is funny.
Batman Confidential #21 (DC) - by Nicieza, Maguire, I.L.L.: An end to one of the best batgirl/catwoman stories I've ever read! I wonder if the team is continuing the next storyline?
Patsy Walker: Hellcat #3 (Marvel) - by Immonen, LaFuente, Rauch: Confusing and high fantasy storytelling, this is a very fun book and the art only serves to compliment the wondrous story.
Nyx: No Way Home #2 (Marvel) - by Liu, Andrasofszky, Perez, Rauch, Uruson: The art is very good, but I admit, I'm so lost on the actual story and what is going on, it's hard to tell if this is a mutant comic or something more akin to a DC/Vertigo title.
Wonder Woman #24 (DC) - by Simone, Chang, Anderson, Lopresti & Hi-Fi: Gail returns for a wonderful issue that is both funny and entertaining! :)

No US-comics for me this week, but I made a shopping trip to France (Lille this time).
First, some new mangas:

Then, some used french comics from the huge annual flea market, the "Braderie" (http://www.lavoixdunord.fr/Braderie-de-Lille/) (some 1-2 million visitors):

A flea market for Les BD?!? Oooh. . . I feel pain in my soul. The Cedric books look really nice. And "Aggie in Paris" is just close enough to "Augie in Paris" that it made me blink.
Someday, I'll make it to Paris. Or Montreal, at least. . .

Well, it's not only for BDs, but of course they're there. Not so much at private stands, but with semi-professionals, mostly. BTW: I understand that the Braderie is also of interest to British customers, since Lille is a stop of the EuroStar (http://www.eurostar.com/UK/uk/leisure/destinations.jsp) which makes for a drive of just 1h 20 min from London.
Cedric really is a nice series. Mostly one-pagers, but well-observed and well-scripted. There's also a TV-series. There are preview pages at the publisher's site (http://www.dupuis.com/servlet/jpecat?pgm=VIEW_SERIE&lang=UK&SERIE_ID=24), some even in English (http://cedric.kidcomics.com/en/cb/index.html). And Cinebook also just published one first book (http://www.cinebook.co.uk/catalogue~Cat~A-008-034B~Code~9781905460687.asp) in translation (which is, unfortunately, in keeping with their weird selection practices, volume 3 originally).
