Can any of the Wonder Woman fans in the house tell me how long Gail Simone is contracted to write Wonder Woman? I just read the preview for issue 24 and I'm kind of sold.
I might subscribe, so I'd like to know if I'm gonna end up getting some two-bit punk instead of the lovely and talented Ms. Simone when I fill out that subscription thingymajiggy.
Thanks in advance.

There's no current end in sight. I mean, she won't be writing it forever, but she's not quitting anytime soon, either.

It will probably last longer if more people buy it! So go ahead, it's a great read!

There is no answer to this. I'm sure someone can answer how long her DC contract is, but that contract doesn't reflect how long she will be on any given book.

Hopefully for as long as she wants.

I think she said something about prying the book from her cold dead hands, if that gives you any indication of her intentions.

She's indicated that she'd like to stick with the book. I'd like her to, too.
But sales = power. If she loses readers, regardless of a contract, I'm betting she'd be gone.

From what I understand, Simone's run has been pretty darn popular, no?

I think she's going to be on for at least another year(but don't quote me on that). Sales are basically back/returning to where they were during Rucka's run. 30,000-40,000 range. But I think it'll get a push with the upcoming Genocide, Manazons, and hype for the Wonder Woman animated movie.

Yeah... I'm still blown away by the whole "Manazon" thing. Doesn't make much sense to me. Can anyone catch me up? It seems like Apollo and another fella (Dionysus?) want to replace the Amazons with rejects from the cast of (ugh) 300.

As far as I understood, it the counterbalance to the Amazons. A society of men with one who stands above all the others, Wonder-Man(or whatever she ends up calling him).
I think the Genocide story starting in November is going to be good.

the number is at it's lowest since the relaunch... but it's Wonder Woman so sales over 30K should be considered to be a good number
