How is it?
It sounds like a fun weekly event,Is it a stand alone weekly event or do you have to know 52,countown ect

It's stand alone.

I personally am enjoying it. I think the general consensus is that it's (much) better than Countdown, and maybe not quite as good as 52.

I agree entirely with the previous post. That having been said, I dropped it after the first three issues simply because I wasn't that interested, even if Bagley's drawing. To me, the back-ups were lackluster at best.

I like it. The back-ups play a key part to the overall story. It started off really slow but really picked up when the JLA went to the alternate earth. Another thing, at least I know the general idea of the series unlike 52.

I'm also thoroughly enjoying it. Far better, right out of the gate, than any of the issues of Countdown and more akin to the quality level of 52. The recent issues with the CSA from the Anti-Matter Earthhave been the high point of the series for me so far and the book keeps getting better, imo.

From what I've seen, it's stand-alone, so you won't need to have read Countdown. (For that matter, I don't think *anything* DC is putting out right now will benefit from having read Countdown, except in looking good by comparison.)

I like it, it's definitely not as good as 52 (to be fair though 52, had a much better build up compared to Trinity) and Countdown, well, I've yet to meet a person who liked countdown. ;)

As for the back ups for me the back up started to getting interesting as soon as they focused on the B-list heroes trying to stop the bad guys from stealing the various items associated with the trinity.

The interaction between Dick and Tim in issue 10 is a classic. ^^

As the story has moved forward, it has greatly improved. Both the main story and the back-ups. I am really enjoying it.

I am enjoying Trinity so far. Going to the Anti-Matter Earth helped quite a bit. I am a big fan of how the back-ups support the main story by weaving in and out of the main plot points. The only reason this is bad is that it makes the story a little hard to follow sometimes, and the series might benefit by just sticking to scene transitions rather than splitting the book in half in order to address what is going on on each front.
