K, so I got my 360 and Live a few months back and up until now I've only played Bomberman Live online and had no problems with it - my reception "ping" is the full 5 bars.

However this month I've been attempting to play both Soul Calibur 4 and Castle Crashers. I know that CC reportedly has alot of issues with online play but with both games, after joining a session, as it's about to start it just cancels itself. Sometimes it says something about a network conflict.

So I've done a network test and the NAT is sometimes showing as "Moderate", once as "Open" and now as "Strict"! It says if it is moderate or strict that you need to change your router/gateway to an XBA Live compatible one...BUT

This makes no sense as my brother uses the same one for his 360 and has no problems with his which always shows as "Open"! Plus if a friend invites me to a game, I have no problems with it working, I just can't seem to get random games going at all.

So what can I do? Would the fact that mine is a wired connection wheras his is wireless have anything to do with it?

This is scary. I've been having the same problems as you. Down to having only played bomberman online before and now playing soul calibur and castle crashers. As for your question I dont think I can help but im almost positive that the fact that one is wired and the other is wireless doesnt affect anything.

Wow Maybe it's fate...bringing us together lol!

There's all sorts of stuff online about troubleshooting it but it's just wayy too complicated for me...

What's your XBL handle? We should try connecting to each other and see if it works...

Uncanny Madman! I'll probably be on tomorrow throughout the day or eve...supposed to be back at work after a weeks holiday but I've been ill most the week and I don't feel recovered enough to go back yet!

More creepiness. I had last week off as well. I took off because in the US monday is a national holiday so it only took 4 vacation days.
