Speaking for myself I buy the story covers but the character covers are definitely more appealing.

In general the character covers have looked better to me and now that I have 3 of them I will probably stick with them regardless for consistency sake.

Story covers, because no matter how well drawn, I have a natural HATRED for generic "Character pose" covers, on every comic.

...But I'm almost certainly going to cave and buy both on FC4, that Darkseid is just TOO awesome.

I've really liked the character covers, although I have to question the choice of Supergirl. There is only 7 issues, you'd think they would have picked somone more iconic. I know it has to do with the storyline and all that, but they had a lot of characters to choose from.

Character covers but the story covers are good too(I'm one of those people that don't like buying two of the same thing even with two or more cool covers for issue)

It's all about the design, baby.

Except for the Legion of Three Worlds, where the designed cover didn't do jack, but the Perez Lightning Lad was aces.

I love the fact that the words "Final Crisis" are slowly degrading as each new cover comes out .....

The only copy my local shop had left of Final Crisis #1 was the character cover, but as for all the other books I've gotten the story covers. Though the Flash cover for issue #2 was very cool.

I've been getting the character covers for everything (although I didn't care for the SUPERMAN BEYOND one)...

Normally I'd go for the story covers, but I absolutely hate the design with the bright red bars taking up 2/3 of the cover. Maybe if the background were black, or white, or something other than JUMP OUT AT YOU RED!!!!

I have no problem with the choice of Supergirl, but the pose makes her look like an airhead at a costume party instead of a hero.
