Yume's Pin-Up / Sequential Dump

hello cbr! i hope everyone is well...i'm trying to become more active on the site here, with drawing more and commenting more on people's work, and i thought i'd start by making an official dump thread for me (that's not downshift related lol...i actually can draw more than girls and cars haha)...

i've recently decided to get back into penciling comics, and i'm going to try and put together something for a major company to see if i could do some kind of work for them...i know i need to show more sequential stuff, and it is something that i need to work on, so look for sequential pages in here soon...for now, here is a spider-man panel that i'm working on-it felt good to get out and pencil 'ol web-head again lol...it still needs the city put in, but any critiques would be appreciated, as i'm pretty rusty in this lol...

spidey on the Alex Ross side of things, without looking too much like its from a photo, I think it works very well! You should definately start submitting, I'd be surprised if you didn't get picked up somewhere

thank you for the kind words and encouragement, i'm hoping to get good enough to get picked up somewhere lol...

it's funny you should mention alex ross, i was looking at one of his sketchbooks when i was working on my own stuff and thought you know, i know i can draw better than what i was- so he's def influenced me a lot...

later on i'll post up this quick sketch i'm working on of colossus and wolverine...laters! :biggrin:

here's the sketch i promised...i was thinking of how to draw it, then i saw the challenge on here about making a x-man a villain; well, i decided it was time for colossus to be evil haha...i didn't put as much time into it as the spider-man, but i think it turned out ok-i might go back and re-visit later on...

here's a study for a picture i'm doing for my tattoo artist; he collects models, so i'm drawing him pics of 2 of his models- cammy from sf and poison from final fight...this is a quick render in ball point pen for the top half of the cammy, i'll upload the pencils soon... :biggrin:

I don't really like the first two drawings you provided, but those last three are great! I just love the detail and emotion in all three, especially the one done in pen.

thanks! i'm pretty happy with the last three too, they turned out o.k....i understand about the first 2, no worries...hopefully i'll turn out some good ones in the next week :smile:
