Lend me your ears, BETA readers of X-men. I am in dire need of assistance, as my previous beta has fallen off the internet and cannot get up. I need YOU to beta my story!

Requirements:

Experienced is an absolute must!

Be picky, ruthless, help plot bunny, and question every thing I do that does not make sense.

Instant messaging is a must. I have trillion.

MS Word 2003 is a must.

Being online consistently is somewhat of a must. I don’t care how long it takes, as long as the job is done and done well.

Cannot be a homophobe (because one of my characters is a lesbian) or cannot let lesbianism bother him/her/it.

Be patient with me, because I miss things even when they are right in front of me at times.

Characterization is also a field of necessary expertise, and dialogue flow. Mainly, plot and sequence of events is my weakest point, so I will need help with that.

Also, this beta must have an excellent sense of humor, because I am working with a character that is a bit of a motermouth.

As your writer, I promise to and not to:

Not to write emo fics. I detest emo fics.

Not write cheesy stuff, whatever it may cheese. I would hate to cheese you off.

No Mary Sue’s or any of her inbred cousins.

No Mpreg. Doesn’t that sound like a file extension?

Pay attention and listen when you say things.

Bother you until you get off your lazy ass and beta my shiz. :P

Act now and get a free skype account, the preferred Writing-transfer tool of writers like rifleman101!

Whew.

If you choose to answer my call, either email me at rifleman101@hotmail.com, add rifleman101@hotmail.com to your MSN messenger friends list (or trillion), or send me a message via Fanfiction.net. Thank you for your time.

Did the meaning of the word "beta" change and nobody told me?

Did the meaning of the word "beta" change and nobody told me?

It's writer jargon, derived from the programming industry's "beta tester."
