View Full Version : Batman RIP and Final Crisis

Hi there,

apologies if someone has asked this before, but does anyone have any thoughts about how the timeline of Batman RIP links in with Final Crisis? Grant Morrison seems to have said that basically anything happening in comics other than Final Crisis would have happened in the week prior to the events of Final Crisis. But since Batman shows up in Final Crisis, presumably he's showing up after the end of Batman RIP? Which begs the question, who is he? Is he still Bruce Wayne? That seems unlikely given the direction RIP seems to be taking and what I've read in interviews...

Many thanks,
Paul

RIP happens before Final Crisis.

The Batman in Final Crisis is Bruce Wayne.

I think batman is missing because he is probably in apocalypse in RIP. and the batman that was captured in FC by granny goodness is actually a batman from another dimension. do you guys agree or disagree?

Jesus, why do we need another story to explain it when Morrison could just explain it here?? It's not like he has to coordinate with another writer!

There was an article either here or at Newsarama with Morrison, and he verified that Bruce will be Batman after RIP. He'll just be changed. Since RIP leads into FC, the Batman that's captured by Granny in FC is Bruce ....

And it will be his experiences in "Final Crisis" that results in Bruce being incapable of being Batman anymore.

Because everything with Morrison has to be complicated.

Man he makes more sense to me than some of the others hanging out there on the sales chart.

Christ FC still makes more sense to me than Countdown!
