It's the day before Labor Day, and that reminded me of the Jerry Lewis Telethon. Which nobody I know watches anymore. My question is: Why haven't they finally put Jerry out to pasture? Surely there must be some big star 40-60 years younger who can be their new figurehead who might actually get people to turn this stinker of a show on.

This one I had this very morning when I noticed we had new neighbors, and that they had dogs:

"If this bunch doesn't get that damned back gate fixed I hope their dogs get hit by a truck."

And before youcomment on the cruelty, I don't really hope that, but dammit I'm sick of having to wrangling in loose dogs in our neighborhood and drag them back to that damn house because no one, not the land owner, or anyone who has leased the house, ever bothers to repair that damn gate door!

I chuckle when I hear the name of the Reality Show "The Biggest Loser". Because I'm FIVE!

shows like Nancy Grace waste their time on Kaylee Anthony who has almost certainly been dead for months now, 1000 or more other kids have gone missing
or spent the night on the streets homeless with no attention whatsoever. Of course I care more about two fictional characters that just got eaten by a mystic dog. (Actually I'm just worried that the dog might get indigestion.)
