I posted this on community thread, then some douchebag (http://forums.comicbookresources.com/showpost.php?p=7366909&postcount=2) pointed out the games forum so here it is on the game forum. :biggrin:

By "sandbox" I mean 3rd person shoot 'em ups that let you run amok in a large enviroment often causing wanton carnage and destruction.

Anyway I thought it be a fun idea to create a thread were we discuss, debate, and vote on our favorite games. So here it is.

I heard the first one was actually good, though it didn't recieve much fan faire. Didn't know they were making a second, so when is it suppose to be coming out?

October 16, or thereabouts.

Thanks, though I'd like to check out the first Saint Rows first.

I for one liked Mercenaries over GTA, don't get me wrong. I liked Vice City, and there was a lot more I could interact with in GTA then in Mercenaries, such as buying property and building empires. But I thought Mercenaries had better vehicles, better controls, and the mission gave you a lot more freedom in doing them. Also being able to blow up just about anything is a huge plus.

I'm looking foward to the sequel which is coming out tommorrow, though I'm a little hesitant on buying it. Partially cause its under the EA flag, and partially cause I may get a PS3 here soon so might want to hold out for the PS3 version.
