I dig it. I'm not farther along than episode 12, but it's got some excellent animation and a creative sense of design.

Plus, episode 6 made me 'bout spit milk through my nose, so funny.

It's a really cool anime (I haven't read the manga) with a nice mix of characters. I particularly like how you kind of/sort of have three main protagonists who "trade off" with one another (i.e. have their own starring episodes/arcs) as opposed to a strict team approach.

I love this series. Everything about it is just made of win. Chapter 52 was just awesome.

I've watched up to the latest subbed episode (20, I think) and I like it. Haven't read the Manga yet, but I guess I'll follow that as it comes out in that YenPlus magazine.

I've been checking out the manga in Yen+, but given that the magazine is priced way high compared to it's nearest competitor (the Shonen Jump anthology, which costs almost half what Yen+ does) and that it only has really two series that grab me visually, this and Jack Frost... well, I worry about the long-term viability of their publishing model. I don't think I'll be buying more Yen+, but I'm definitely looking forward to seeing this when it comes out in collected form.

Oh man I absolutely love this series. The art is great. I realy like the character desing (except BS who looks stupid). And the backrounds are very climatic. Moon and Sun are the best.


Also characters are realy realy cool and well though. My favorite is of coruse the perfect pimp himself Death the Kid. he is just so awesome. As is in fact his father Shinigami-sama and Death scyte, one of best duos in whole manga. The scene in which they [SPOILER] make fool of medusa [/SPOLIER] Is probably one best scene in the whole manga.

I also like that the wepons themselfes are given decent amount of CP and arent just meaningles backraund for their partners like in some other series that use this format (Shaman King i'm looking at YOU!!!) . In fact some of the wepons are more interesting character than their operators (ex. Soul Eater is much more likeable, developed and interesting character than Maka andI mean by far)

There is also one interesting bit i like about the character desing its that it dosent follow none of those stereotype that one would expect in Shonen Manga. Soule Eater isnt just stupid guy who is/wants to be cool and makes himself a idtiot most of the time and hates authority (you know the type). He is more orginal character and showsand he have depths who arent yet fully explored ( In fact it's strongly implied that his usual demandor is just a facade). Not to mention Death the Kid have all the background needed to make him Cool Loner but is actualy a rather frendly guy (stil cool though). He have a very negative personality but in very difrent meaning of the word.

I wanted to write something about plot aswell but its 2.27 now where I am so I dont have the energy. I will write more later.

Love ot or Hate it, that's my opinion.

Yeah that was good stuff. It's always good to see Kid own someone. Hoepfully next chapter will get back to Black Star vs Mifune.

I started reading the manga, but the art style kinda turned me off for some reason and I never made it further then the first two chapters or something.

Might give it another try when I feel more forgiving, though.

The art really gets better after the first few chapters (don't remember which though).

I figured I'd use my necromancy and bring this thread back to life. This series just keeps getting better and better and if it continues at the rate its going its gonna be a classic some day. That's right I'm calling it now Soul Eater will be a classic some day.

I just got done reading the fight between Mifune and Black and it was awesome.

I just read up to chapter five and I have to say that I love it.

The characters are all enjoyable and feel rather original for the most part. The art work is funky and weird in the good way, the enviorment especially reminds me of the one in A Nightmare before christmas (that's a plus). It's chaotic and fast-paced but still packs quite an emotional punch. Great stuff.

Though I'm still confused about how certain things in the world of Soul Eater work I'm sure I'll understand them sooner or later.
