Reading Mr Ellis' blog cum emailed rant today, I hit this nugget:

Did anyone find a copy of COILHOUSE magazine in
their local bookstores or freak shops yet? It's rather
pretty, and comes with a chunk of a new Samuel
Delany book.

Excellent. I've been meaning to reread Dhalgren, but I really enjoy his work. His introduction to the trade of A Game of You Sandman trade is one of the best I've read also.

I am actually really not into that kind of books. I more like reading forensics and the likes, not much into fiction although I've read quite a deal of romantic paperbacks.

I hate to be one of THOSE readers but I really like his early works best. DHALGREN's about where I lost interest in Delany, though there's was a short novel that came after that was interesting for having a dislikeable protagonist-- can't recall the title.

It is a good introduction, except the part where he assumes Hazel ought to be sexually educated just because she's a lesbian.
