Let me get straight to the point. When my mom sings, for some reason it drives me completely insane. Sure, she's not the worst singer in the world, but whenever so much as a note comes out of her mouth, that note turns into a mental one for me to arrange for her vocal chords to be removed. I just get irritated as hell every time she sings. And she honestly thinks she's a good singer too, which is even more annoying. I feel the need to turn up the TV whenever she sings, plus when I put on music when she's around, I make sure it's either a rap song or a song with no lyrics. Am I wrong for just wanting her to not sing again for the rest of her life?

I don't like it at all when people sing along to songs on the radio loudly enough that you can hear them. I often "sing along", but only lip synch or sing very quietly.

As my roommate Mike has often said to my roommate Amy...

Mike: "Hey, you know who sings this?"

Amy: "[name of singer]"

Mike: "LET THEM!"

Amy has this voice that she thinks is a professional quality, but it's not, and she insists on singing along with everything, mostly with this high pitched contralto that just sounds ridiculous with most popular music. You don't sing along to Linkin Park with an opera type voice, honey.

Amy: "But all my boyfriends have always liked me singing along!"

Mike and I: "No they don't. They just want to get laid! Shaddap!"

My friend will sing along with everything.
Seriously everything.
Even the things he doesn't know the words to so general it's something along the lines of "mumblemumblemumble CHORUS".

Seriously dude, lighten up! Everything you post is about hate and pain and violence.

Mrs Hod has an annoying habit of making up her own lyrics to songs when she doesn't know the words.

After three choruses of Tina Turners "What's a glove got to do with it?" I had to correct her.

This seems to be a common problem with gals who spent far to much time in high school choir classes. They think their voice sounds wonderful, but it just sounds weird and unnatural.

Maybe it was a "no glove, no love" kinda substitution.

Was the song used in some sort of safe-sex campaign?

I do that, too. Difference is, I'm doing it intentionally.
