View Full Version : Who else besides the Flash's inner circle knows that Barry Allen is back?

For us, Barry Allen has returned to the world of the living for almost four months now, but in the DCU, it's only been a matter of minutes or hours (talk about decompressed storytelling).
For certain, we know that Flash's inner circle: Wally West, Jay Garrick, Iris Allen, Joan Garrick, Linda West, and the West kids, know that Barry has returned. Who else is privy at this point? Darkseid? Libra?

I'd guess some of the Monitors know. Or at least, the Monitor assigned to New Earth should know. That's his job, after all.

The only person who knows for sure that Barry has returned is Wally West and maybe Wonder Woman, Batwoman, Catwoman, and that tall woman... Titana, if they're not completely taken over by the anti-life equation.
All Jay knows is that he saw Barry, and all the wives and kids know is that Jay just SAW Barry.

Probably no one yet. He did just come back.

Mmmmm....
Libra knows for sure. How i don't know at all, so Grodd may know too. He's lining up the Rogues (or trying, I hope Cold gets pissed, really pissed...) to get rid of the speedsters. All the speedsters have been important in every single Crisis.
So some people inside Libra's inner circle might know as well.
Weird thing, may we see Bart somewhere along the story, even as a referral? And I don't mean Inertia taking his place, that'd be nasty. But then, they haven't been asking for permission to do stuff like that since...ever.
Zoom has to know too.

If Barry's presence supplies an element of surprise that will be an important turning point in FINAL CRISIS, the villains shouldn't know...yet.

I may stand corrected.
The climate reacts to Barry's presence like Iris say. And Cold thinks it's the Weather Wizard being moody. So they might feel some sort of uneasyness,
but not know at all.
Does the Black Racer ally himself with anyone, can Libra know because of him?

I think we'll all find out that Barry was or is the speed force. He traveled back in time to catch the tachyon in COIE. He's been doling out speed to select people ever since, including himself and Wally. At least thats what I think

If that's the case, what made him think Savitar was a good idea?

Stands to reason if he and Wally have effectively disappeared for a month, but I reckon it won't last very long having run into a brainwashed Wonder Woman and her troupe.

Is that a good strategy for taking out the speedsters? Up until the recent demise of Bart Allen at the Rogues' hands (and then, only after Inertia had stolen Bart's speed), the Rogues' record against the speedsters has been abysmal. None of them ever succeeded in killing Barry Allen or Wally West (but all of them have been defeated by Barry and/or Wally numerous times).

All I know, if Barry's back, they better bring back the REAL Zoom. I would love to see Thawne smack the pretender to the name back to the stone age. In fact, that would be a great story; Thawne in the future(before he died, of course) finding out about the loser version Zoom and going apes#!t. He goes back in time, kills the pretender, and has to face both Barry and Wally. It practically writes itself.

Well.... I see two options IF libra knows...
1) Speedsters should be considered the most difficult people to fight, since your beat before you blink, so why not go with the people who have the experience battling Speed.
2) They're decoys. Throw ArchEnemy scarecrows up so that Barry and the others go after them first, and Libra buys time for whatever he's doing.

The Black Racer knows.
And since I believe Grant knows (amongst other New Gods tidbits) that the Racer is a neutral entity of the Fourth World and not under the sway of any other New Gods, Darkseid probably doesn't know.
But I'm sure he'll find out some other way.
Or hey, maybe Darkseid does know because he's remade/controls all that was and is the New Gods.
