If you like Fables, you should try Proposition Player

I read it last night and loved it.

Proposition Player (http://dccomics.com/graphic_novels/?gn=1655) by Bill Willingham & Paul Guinan. It's a fantastic mini. From DC's site:

"When a professional Vegas poker player collects vouchers for the souls of a roomful of people as a bar prank, he's just anted up for a game he never imagined. He thinks they're just worthless napkins, but envoys from Heaven and Hell think differently. Suddenly, Joey's caught in the middle of a tug-of-war between celestial powers...can he bluff his way out of it?"

Highest recommendation.

agreed. I read it on a recommendation from my local comic book shop. You can see shades of Fables in Prop Player. Go read it to tide you over till Fables 75.

I'd also recommend Sandman Presents: Taller Tales and the Thessaly book. Willingham writes great stuff when he's at Vertigo
