Was perusing the SHOWCASE PRESENTS THE ATOM collection... Volume Two, I think... and discovered The Big Gang. They're a bunch of villains who wear jumpsuits with insignias on the chest and all have the word 'Big' in their names. There's Big Head, the leader, one of those elongated-cranium types. Then there's Big Ben, a third-rate Clock King ripoff (And there are few things more pathetic than being a third-rate ripoff of a fifth-rate villain); Big Bertha, a super-strong shot-putter; Big Wig, who hides weapons in his toupees, and...
...Wait for it...
Big Cheese, who uses cheese for crime.
Let me repeat that. He uses Cheese. For Crime.
He doesn't even use cheese as a theme for his crimes, like The Mad Hatter uses hats or The Penguin uses birds. He uses actual cheese, gimmicked up, as weapons. One panel has him running at the Atom with a hunk of Swiss, shouting, "This will stop him!"
Somehow, the fact they were deliberately trying to be stupid doesn't help.
And now, not only is Gail kicking herself for not knowing about this guy when she was writing THE ALL-NEW ATOM, she's trying to salvage it by teaming him up with Mouse Man...
