Manga adaptations almost always suck(with very few exceptions like Evangelion), far worse than what could be said of anime adaptations. I wouldn't wish that fate on any of my favorite anime-only titles.

Was Evangelion an adaptation of an existing manga? I thought for certain the manga came after (or alongside) the anime from Gainax, sort of a media tie-in.
There's very few manga that I think have adapted well, and even less of them have worked as continuing series. Bleach and One Piece are the only two long-form anime adaptations that I've liked very much, and I think that's partly because both have been relatively light on filler. Filler is almost always sub-par.
Full Metal Alchemist wasn't bad, but part of that, I think, comes from A)them knowing when to stop and 2)the somewhat ironic fact that it DOES diverge pretty widely from the manga at a certain point... they did their own thing and they did it well (as opposed to inserting filler episodes just to bloat out and hold time until they can adapt more canon content).

QFT, the FMA anime was incredibly good, everything fitted together perfectly and it made for a story every bit as engaging as the original manga.

Though there's already a Ranma½ anime, I'd love to see the Musk Dynasty and Phoenix Mountain story arcs animated.

Yeah, you're right. I actually misread the introduction. I thought it stated "anime that you want to see adapted into manga." Because manga adaptations of anime are like horrible parodies whereas anime adaptations at least attempt to stay somewhat true to the source material aka the original manga. So just ignore my former post.
OT: I'm anxious to see 666 Satan and 3X3 Eyes(a newer version) made into anime.

There actually is a Hunter X Hunter anime, though what little I saw of it didn't impress me much. Oh well.

Obviously a Fairy Tail anime. Done properly it could be very cool.
I would also like to see the School festival and Summer Holiday arcs of Mahou Sensei Negima animated.

I wish they would anime the entire Battle Angel Alita manga. The movie was surprisingly decent considering, although I've read that the creator hated it, but I would love to see a full 26 episode series of it.

You can always look forward to James Cameron's live-action 3D version.
By which I mean, "with dread", of course.

Kurogane would be a pretty cool source to make an anime from. Also, it would be nice to see some more manwha like Priest animated.

I actually am somewhat looking forward to Cameron's Alita movies. Sure there's potential for him to mess with it too much, but if he can stick to the amazing scenes, characters, and ideas from the book, it's simply going to be an amazing film.
