The Olympics are almost over, to be quite honest I haven't watched any of it. But with so much nightly news coverage a thought did occur to me, how long will it be before Nintendo or someone else realizes that a fantastic marketing opportunity awaits in the form of a "Wii Olympiad." Besides, with kids leaving high school to focus on Guitar Player it's only a matter of time. :)

What do you think?... and what contests should be part of the games?

They already made Mario and Sonic at the Olympics, it was not that great.

Maybe next time Nintendo. . .

Darn, just when I thought there was hope for all us couch potatoes at grabbing the gold... which raises another question. If there was a Wii Olympics what kind of medals should they award?... gold, silver and bronze plated controllers?... any ideas?

BTW, I'm thinking more along the lines of an actual physical event... not just a "Mario and Sonic at the Olympics" home based game. That is, what if there ever evolved a real olympiad where people actually gathered together but the competitive games were Wii based.

Exactly what I thought when I read the thread title.

And I love that game!
