This is an obscure one, and I'm sorry if I'm posting in the wrong place.
Back in the '80s the place where I worked introduced multi-user Unix, and soon after we got our hands on a game called "search" which used the Curses graphics package (such as it was! used to implement 'vi' I believe). Basically, we could fly around space, visit planets, and shoot down other players. You could turn invisible for a short period, lock onto an unsuspecting player, and there after chase them down.
I've tried googling but no luck. Any old-timers out there remember this game?
I'm really looking for a "user guide" to a game like this, rather than the game itself.
