You might want to calm down a bit. I'm excited too, but the last Fable went through a bunch of last minute delays before it was released when they said it was going to be. They are all, after all, still working on it so you never know.

I'll probably be getting Fallout 3 first since I haven't played any of that series yet.

Fable and Fable 2 have nothing to do with each other save for the fact both games take place at Albion in different eras. In Fable 1 you character went from a boy to an old man in a medieval storybook word.
In Fable 2 it’s 500 years later and you are now in a Highwayman type setting. Based on Europe circa 1800s. Your male, or if you desire it female, character goes from a child to an elderly person like the first Fable. There are a ton more new features but I don't want to spoil it.
Back to your point, none of the characters, choices and stats from the first game carry over to the second. There is no reason to play the first Fable in terms of being able to enjoy the second game as there is no connection between Fable 1 and 2.

No, Fable's been completed for months. All they've been doing since late spring/early summer is looking for bugs.

Yup. Molineux said that much at E3.

Not really true. They've been hinting that Scythe is coming back (y'know, immortal, helped found the Heroes Guild...is actually King Archon, last ruler of the Old Kingdom and distant relative of the Hero from the first game), and a number of locations are returning.
Some as ancient ruins of a time gone by, others as towns that have massively expanded and evolved, etc.
Who knows what else. Afterall, Jack of Blades is dead, but the other two in his Court are still wandering around, and they're every bit as resistant to aging and dying as he is. And we have no idea what ramifications of the first game we'll see in the second.
You could likely play the second without having experienced the first, and enjoy it, but they'll be plenty of nods and winks for those who have.

They're doing the full aging thing in Fable II? Bleh...that was one of the idiotic mechanics of the first game, since nobody else in the world "aged in not-real time" they way you did.

I haven't played any of the Fallout games. I have played Fable 1. Therefore I'll get Fallout 3 first since it'll be a new experience.

They have completly reworked the game mechanics but story wise Fallout 3 is suppose to be a direct sequel to Fallout 1 and 2. Both games I don't even remember, even though I beat them both.
