They have yet another wolverine ongoing series coming out.

I mean... isn't this just a little much?

(Weapon X: First Class)

You can never have too much Wolverine

At this point I would say that, yes, it seems a bit much. Do we really need another out-of-continuity book in addition to Marvel Adventures and the Ultimate stuff? I mean, why not make an Ultimate mini exploring Wolverine and Sabretooth's time in the Weapon X program instead of another ongoing First Class book? Or, better yet, explore it in 616 continuity in Wolverine: Origins (the book that is supposed to be all about Wolverine's past).

Having said all that, if it sells then it sells. I'll probably check out the first couple of issues, but I'm starting to agree with the whiners that there is just too much Wolverine out there!

I doubt it's an ongoing. It's got the Mini-Series price point.

My guess it's a mini-series they can collect when X-Men Origins: Wolverine comes out.

Ah, didn't catch that. Hopefully you're right. Still...I'd rather have seen this mini done in the Ultimate line than the First Class line. Just my opinion, though.

Given the title/solicit it's set during the early days of Weapon X.

Which means it wouldn't really fit in Wolverine: First Class. As that's set after.

And it's not out-of-continuity. All of the First Class books are in continuity and canon.

And I doubt it's replacing X-Men: First Class. The book has the Mini-Series price point. My guess for why they're launching it? So it can be traded when X-Men Origins: Wolverine comes out. X-Men: First Class is probably on hiatus for a bit. Jeff is busy with Agents of Atlas and could probably use a break.

Not sure why, but I'm way more excited about the changes coming out of Ultimatum than I am about the changes coming out of Secret Invasion. Perhaps I'm just a bit bored with the 616 Marvel U constantly undergoing major upheavals? Or it might be event fatigue because there are so many tie-ins (whereas Ultimatum just has the main book and UFF and UXM)?

Regardless, I'm just ready for SI to end while I can't wait to see what happens in Ultimatum! I think Millar coming back and Paul Jenkins supposedly launching a new Ultimate book are kind of fueling that excitement to a certain degree.

I'm gonna have a look at this new Wolvie Series/Mini Series.
I'm not one for picking up Wolvie solo books, but it appeals to me. So I'll give it a go.

Hey Who's That Bitch With Nico's Staff!?
Lmao!

EDIT:
I forgot to add... No "NYX" in November. I'm Pissed.

Anyway, I'm wondering if I should get Young X-Men the trade paper back or not...

No Nico always has her hair up but in a messy way never straight straight, she looks totally different from the way Ramos drew her b4.

It looks like Nico to me. It's Ramos though, so it won't look like anything normal, just overly exaggerated and ugly.

Ridiculous. I love Gen X and the New Mutants VERY much. I loved Jubilee when she was on the X-Men. The New X-Men had some ok members, and there are some I genuinely like, but they need to take care of themselves.

Yeah Gen X did a great job taking care of themselves once their series ended. 2 dead members, 1 dead mentor, 1 in Austen induced limbo and 2 New Warriors(ugh).

I agree, they haven't done too well. But at least half of them didn't blow up on a bus. And they were more mature. Their storyline's were much better. And NONE of them cried and threw a fit when the school was closed. They moved on to do things on their own. Jubilee and Skin went the California and tried to be adults. Chamber started a romance and had fun, then joined the X-Men. Husk became a tree hugger activist and M went home calmly. The New X-Men? they pissed and moaned like toddlers.

Only 3 of them. I think most of the pissing and moaning came from fans more than the actual characters.

Can we agree that Divided We Stand was not a good story?

No. I didn't mind the stories. They weren't awesome by far, but I didn't think Nori, Hellions or Anole's characters acted oddly. They were pissed. I just am of the opinion that they had no reason to be so angry and it showed their immaturity which their fans probably don't like.

That's because the New X-Men kids are a part of Generation Me. It's the culture.....it's the fashion. It's always got to be about them. The Gen X'ers may not have fared too well after their series either, but at least they had the maturity enough to shut up about it and make the most of their situations.

Meanwhile, we have Anole punching people out for invading his treehouse, Surge blowing up Dani's cabin because she needed somebody to listen to her cry, and Hellion running to Magneto because Emma put him up in a hotel (wtf Julian).

They've all earned a well-deserved slap in my opinion.

Blindfold and the New Mutants are not on that cover either. And Wolfcub is on the cover of Issue 6, so why didn't you complain it spoiled you that he survived back then.

He probably is going to die tho, I'm just saying that not showing him on a cover means nothing.
