I happen to think that the 2002-2004 Genis run of "Captain Marvel" (largely by Peter David) is one of the best comic book runs in the last decade.

While critically acclaimed, it really didn't sell well.

And it seems all of the trades are out of print.

I have all the single issues, but I hesitate to break them out of their packages to re-read them.

Is there any chance the TPB's will ever get re-printed?

Or perhaps an omnibus will come out at some point?

There must be other people out there craving this...I can't be the only one!

I've seen the trades used at my local bookstore- I always wondered if it was worth checking out.

This was TRULY one of Marvel's greats from the modern age. However, I doubt we'll get any real nice new shiny trades and almost definitely not a hardcover until Genis makes a comeback. Considering his appearances in New Thunderbolts and the return of the original Captain Marvel, it's doubtful that Genis will be making a return anytime soon.

In conclusion, BREAK THOSE ISSUES OUT OF THEIR BAGS AND BOARDS AND READ AWAY! Great stuff. Anyone who's been "wondering" about it should bite the bullet and grab 'em up!

I just wish they had done more trades for the first part of David's Captain Marvel run. You know the run that was good and fun to read. Not the "crazy" Cap we got in his 2nd volume. That run just got more and more lame as it went on.
