I remember collecting as many of the X-men Toybiz figures I could get my hands on when I was a kid. Does anyone else have any fond memeories of the X-Men toy line? It started off pretty lame, then became better. Your thoughts?

I didn't follow the 5-inch line very closely. I do own the Giant-Size X-Men boxed set -- which was incredible. I'm still waiting for classic Sunfire and Thunderbrid from Marvel Legends. The Classic X-Men set was nicely sculpted also, but the rooted ponytail on Jean Grey was a poor decision.
I'm not a fan of movie-version figures, but I do wonder why ML doesn't have a line devoted exclusively to X-Men. There are so many characters that haven't been touched -- and resculpts of some of the earlier ML figures would be quite welcome.

I'm talking about the original X-Men line from the 1990's. There must have been over a hundred of 'em!

I used to get one or two of those every week when I was a little one. That was right when X-Men vol. 2 #1 and TAS came out, '91/ '92. Good times.

I remember having Ahab with a pegleg and harpoon gun, and never had the faintest freaking clue who he was, where he came from, or why someone thought I would enjoy that toy, but I had some fun times with that toy. Up until I lost the spring-action harpoon and he was made useless.

god, i had hundreds of the old 5 inch ToyBiz Marvel figures.
my mom sold a good chunk of them off in a garage sale when i was in high school & too busy with the cruel politics of high school & my emerging homosexuality to notice. the cow.
sometimes i like to go to THIS SITE (http://www.marveltoys.net/) & relive the glory days. pretty sure this:

was my favorite ever. it was just the best female they did in that scale i think. although, for being a repaint:

the Dazzler figure we eventually got was shockingly accurate. it even had skates!

I am shocked to this day they went with hot disco Ali rather than a more generic Dazzler.
