I've been doing alot of back issue reading lately, and I noticed that I actually kinda miss Sabretooth. Sure, the 'DEFINITIVE WOLVIE VS. SABES STORY TO END ALL WOLVES VS. SABIE STORIES FOR LIKE EVAR!!!' stories got a bit tedious, and they were done far too frequently, and got a bit redundant, but still, there were some pretty good stories.
Here are some of mine:

Love, love LOVE me some Archangel vs. Sabes vs. Caliban. Very good story, imo.

The best Wolverine vs. Sabes fight, imo. Excellent art, and the story's effects had so much potential.

It's too bad what happened to Silver Fox. She could have become one of my faves. It's a really good story too. Very twisted.

Very 'LUKE, I AM YOUR FAJAH' moment, and a great story imo.
Here's part two: Aww, look how cute Elsie Dee looks!!!

I quite liked Sabertooth and Wolverine's recent battle in Wolverine: Origins when Sabertooth shoved wasabi up Wolverine's nose to ruin his scent tracking. It was very clever.
I also liked Sabertooth brief stint with Rogue's team in adjectiveless, even if he was made to be the team's bitch.

I really enjoyed when Sabretooth was held captive in the mansion. So many X-Characters were stupidly naieve and fell for his opossum tricks. Boomer esspecially, which then resulted in Psylocke's lobotomy. He should have killed Betsy then.

I must say my LEAST favorite was his current handling, and subsequent death over in Wolverine with Loeb. First, he killed Feral, which was a BOO WHORE moment if I ever saw one. And then, he was killed by a freakin' sword? WTFMATE??? Just retcon that hotmess into being a clone or something already.

Wolverine #90 is it for me. Great fight.
If I had to pick a second place... hmm... I'd go with the issue where he pwns all of X-Factor (Forge, Mystique, Wild Child, Polaris, Shard). It's not that I don't like those characters, it's just how he picked them apart.

Wolverine #90 -- great art, insane panels & gatefold pages, killer ending
Uncanny #212-213 -- Sabretooth tears through pretty much the whole X-team
Uncanny #328 (and its build up) -- Creed gets to Boom Boom enough that she mistakenly frees him; Creed damn near kills Psylocke as a result
Sabretooth also had some pretty good moments in his 1993 limited series by Hama and Texeira.

Really? I have a hard time believing it, so there better be a crapload of cgi and/or creature effects.
And he better not look like the WWF wrestler the original X-Men movie made him out to be. Uberlame.

Thanks for this. Sabretooth (early sabretooth, not the Rogue team beeeeyoch Carey made him out to be or the uberlame Loeb rendition in Evolution) has always been one of my fave characters. Liked him more as a feral beast as opposed to a big guy with long hair and some tattered southwestern gear. Will check these issues out. Already ordered Wolverine #90, heard good things about this issue as a Sabretooth connoisseur.

I kinda liked the Sabretooth from AoA. I know that it was an alternate reality.
I also liked how he fooled the X-Men into thinking that he was injured by Wolverine and then after months of "treatment" totally rips the team up!

Agreed. The movie kind of ruined him in that writers and artists took their cue from the version from the X-Men film for far too long. To be fair, they did that with a few characters (looks-wise), but Sabretooth still kind of carried that look even up until his recent death. Writers also seemed to take the film's cue in that they portrayed Creed as little more than a savage lackey/thug who was rather dim, and had a nice bark, but little to no bite.
To be honest, I'm glad they killed him though. He's long been one of my favorite villains, but he'd been so neutered over the last few years, and it was clear that writers had no idea what to do with him (and indeed, who the character even was), that I look at his death as a mercy killing. Wait another 2-4 years, have a good writer with good ideas and a solid take on the character bring him back as the badass the he once was and always should have been -- an intelligent, lethal, savage killer without hesitation or conscience who could take on the better part of the X-Men if need be.

I have two favourite Sabertooth moments.
The first was when he stalked those inside the mansion way way back when Betsy had her British body. He and Logan fought all around the mansion.
The second has to be when he eviscerated Betsy after escaping the mansion.

Eviscerating Betsy was by far his best moment. That's what she gets for stepping to him. I guess she thought if the Black Cat could do it, then she would be successful. Of course, she didn't count on his powerup since becoming the nemesis of Wolverine.

Are you looking for the cover, or pics from the interior?
Liev Schrieber looks in the movie seems similar to Sabes look in Tieri's Wolverine run, one of my favorite versions of the character. It's hard to chose favorite moments of Sabertooth. He had many awsome scenes, but I think Wolverine #90 might take the cake. What an awsome fight and what a sick, brutal, scary Sabertooth that was!

All good moments. Another one of my favorite moments is at the end of the issue where Jean whips his ass, he's sitting there, doing yoga and meditating. It was the beginning of his rehabilitation.
I really loved the mini by Hamam and Tex from the 90's. One of my favorite stories featuring art by Tex. If anyone has any scans that would be totally appreciated!

I'm not. He was a great villain, when written properly. It's too bad he was as over-exposed as he was. Maybe Jason Aaron will get the green light to bring him back and write him really well. I have total faith in Aaron being able to write a truly bad-ass Sabretooth.

Sabertooth was a great villain when written well. His death was absolutely horrid. They tried to kill Sabes off a few times, so far none of them have taken... I'd prefer this last one to be like the previous, and we'll see Creed back once the X-Office starts missing him.

Creed is too stuck in the past. This is 21st century Marvel! The next Sabretooth we see will be nicknamed Babes, have flowing blond hair, DDs, and purr on command.
Oh... and a tail to wag flirtatiously in people's faces.

I second this. Most of my favorites have already been mentioned, but what the hell.
I liked a lot of when he was a prisoner at the X-Mansion:
-When he told his first meeting with Gambit to Rogue.
-When Gambit showed him holographic projections of all the people he killed.
-Uncanny 328
I prefered Sabretooth as an X-Men villain. The endless fights with Wolverine didn't do it for me, with Wolverine First Class 2, Wolverine 10, and during Hama's Weapon X run being an exception.
I liked him in Carey's run for the simple fact I liked Bachalo's rendition of him.

Completely out of character. Written by a dope that just wanted to go out with a major character kill, but forgot to actually craft any sort of story to go along with it. Horrible arc.

Jean beating the crap out of him in the holding cell was a great issue. I haven't seen that issue in years - didn't she use her TK to break his legs & then threaten to shred him with his own claws?
And then to top it off, she refuses to give him the "glow" (psychic high) which his personal psi (Birdie???) used to give him.

Just read Wolverine #90 - and it is BRUTAL stuff. Love Adam Kubert's pencils. There's at least two major fold outs in the issue, too.
Now this was a battle royale that only Jeph Loeb could dream about scripting.

Lets face it the whole arc before Creed bit it sucked. The whole "one blond and one dark" thing is stupid! Now we have bloody Wildchild as the "blonde one" and amped up to prove a fope to Logan... yeah....
My favorite moments with Vic have been mostly mentioned. Though the Wasabi up the nose was Wolverine:First class not Origins.
THe whole Phalanx story line probably made me like him as a Villain. But Wolverine 90 was the best fight. The ending was also classic. Given it was months before we knew what happened (because the Xmen failed to stop Legion)!

I dunno. I tend to dislike Loeb... allot. Guy sucks at what he does. WHY someone at marvel trusted him with killing off an A-List villian is beyond me.
But if you took the stupid wolf-people thing out and made the last fight between wolverine and sabretooth... i dunno... good, it would have been an ok arch.
Loeb does do good dialog and some of the fights scenes were pretty cool. Like the airplane scene. At least Loeb understood what Sabretooth was about. At least he didn't make him some brutish brainless SOB (well he did at the end, but there was SOMEWHAT of a reason behind that). No he made sabretooth really arrogant, clever, and brutal. Plus I love the line to wolverine...
Sabretooth, "If we survive this... you are SO dead."
BUT one of my favorite sabretooth moments was the whole Return of the Naitive Arch. To me that nailed Sabretooths character. A deadly hunter and such a dirtbag and an @$$hole it's funny.
It's a shame he died though, I REALLY wanna see a good Sabretooth/deadpool fight. The only two I could think of were when Sabretooth simply snapped his neck (1 second long fight) and when Cable launced Sabretooth into the Ocean JUST as the deadpool Sabretooth fight was about to get good.
No doubt Sabretooth's coming back one day. Just hope it's sooner rather then later, and I hope Loeb has NOTHING to do with it.

Wow, just wow. I went back and actually re-read the Hama/Texeira mini from 1993 (haven't read it since it came out) and I was blown away. I forgot how good this thing was - and some serious source material for the recent Wolverine "Get Mystique" arc.
And Birdy, who can forget his babe-in-waiting housemaid sporting a Liefeldian big gun and some thigh high boots? WHOOOO!
