BOOM! STUDIOS
Station #2 (of 5)(resolicited), $3.99 - Very much in that "closed room murder mystery" vein like Whiteout. First issue set up the premise and I am interested to see where this goes.

DC COMICS
Booster Gold #11, $2.99 - It's not saying much but this is one of DC's best titles in years.

IDW PUBLISHING
Galaxy Quest Global Warning #1, $3.99 - flip test on this one at LCS. The movie definitely had a nice quirkiness to it. Seeing it with the SDCC crowd definitely helped the experience.

MARVEL COMICS
Astonishing X-Men #26 (X-Men Manifest Destiny Tie-In), $2.99
Captain Britain And MI 13 #4 (Secret Invasion Tie-In), $2.99 - This title is really the only indication to me that SI is global in nature. Black Panther tie-in will hopefully help as well.
Last Defenders #6 (of 6), $2.99
Punisher #60, $2.99
Secret Invasion #5 (of 8)(Regular Gabriele Dell Otto Cover), $3.99
Secret Invasion Inhumans #1 (of 4), $2.99
Secret Invasion X-Men #1 (of 4)(X-Men Manifest Destiny Tie-In), $2.99
Spider-Man TP Kravens Last Hunt, $14.99 - Whenever I think of a story to pass onto people asking about what comics to read, etc. this is one of them. I might buy this just to have handy for that purpose. Plus, my nephew may like this as well since he has become a big Spidey fan.
Universal War One #2 (of 6), $5.99 - I missed # 1 of this Augie title, so may just move to trade.

TWOMORROWS PUBLISHING
Modern Masters SC Vol 17 Lee Weeks, $14.95 - I do like these books even though I am a couple of volumes behind on my reading. Lee is one of those guys that has been around and done more work than you realize so I am interested in his career.

Galaxy Quest: Global Warning! #1 (IDW) - by Lobell, Kyriazis. Though the art was attractive and good, I felt the general tone and approach of the book was too disconnected from the movie to make this one truly enjoyable, but I'll wait for the next issue to judge.

The Lone Ranger #12 (Dynamite) - by Matthews, Cariello, Pinto & Impacto Studio. I felt like I've waited a long time for this issue and it did not deliver it's best. The art seemed a bit uninspired and the story was kind of uninteresting. The long, slow burn of this series is starting to wear on me a bit.

Wonder Woman #23 (DC) - by Simone, Lopresti, Ryan, Anderson. I initially liked where this series was headed under new direction, but this was not a happy ending or a good book. There's a lot going on, and it seems like it's too much for the art and story of a single issue to handle. I like frenetic, fast-action books, but this one was not done well.

Nightmares & Fairy Tales: Vol.4 / Dancing with the Ghosts of Whales (SLG) - by Valentino, Camilla, Chenoa, FSc, Huestis, Simpson. The 2 stories within, Harmony & Song of the Siren are each beautiful, serene and creepy. This is an incredible trade that I'd highly recommend to anyone.

Tales Designed to Thrizzle #4 (Fantagraphics) - by Kupperman. This series always contains endless hysterical bits from cover to cover.

Batman #679 (DC) - by Morrison, Daniel, Florea, Major. Though it's been said how crazy this R.I.P. storyline is going, this issue was particularly enjoyable with story and art combining well with some of the story in place from previous issues.

Batman Confidential #20 (DC) - by Nicieza, Maguire, I.L.L.. This is an amazingly funny story & art right now and a totally different take on the above Batman story with Batman not really being the main focus of this issue, but nevertheless his presence adds to the comedy.

Action Comics #868 (DC) - by Johns, Frank, Sibal, Anderson. This brainiac story is unfolding nicely, with wonderful dialogue and art.

Comics I'm getting caught up on:

Patsy Walker: Hellcat #1 & 2 (Marvel) - by Kathryn & Stuart Immonen, Lafuente, Rauch. Thanks to pipeliner, pmpknface, I've discovered this series and found it to be really good. It's amazing art with gimmicky story that is fun, not serious, makes reading it very enjoyable.

Angel: Revelations Book 1 & 2 (Marvel Knights) - by Aguirre-Sacasa, Pollina, Hollingsworth. This is another Marvel limited series book that I'm loving. This has the kind of very impressive art and story that I wish Marvel would put out more often.

also...
Delphine #3 - Richard Sala's very cool (but expensive (but large sized)) story that is a sort of Snow White take from the Prince's POV. Except wierd. And odd. And disturbing. In other words - Richard Sala!

Cool! Are you enjoying this [Morrison's New X-Men run]? I wish I had the time to re-read it.

Volume 1 was very uneven. I found it really good at the start, but the annual was pretty dull, and some of the stories made me lose interest. Still, the price is right for a hit and miss comic - particularly when the hits are really good.

So far though I enjoyed Joss Whedon's X-men more. More my speed.
