Any news on a new Tool album?

There anything new about them making a new album? I hadnt heard anything but then again Im out of the loop when it comes to music on the whole.

Didnt know if maynard got off on another side project band or something again or working with perfect circle.

They are just one of a very few bands I actually like alot anymore and look forward to what they do next.

10,000 Days officially fulfilled the obligations of their contract to Volcano. And considering what a hassle that label had been for them, they'll probably look at another label or produce independently like Nine Inch Nails now does. But no, I haven't heard anything about a new album any time soon.

This Rolling Stone article says Maynard has promised another Tool album:

And bassist Justin Chancellor says they've written new material, but he has no idea when a new album will be made:

Please note the above article calls him Jason for some idiotic reason, so it might be bullshit.

I'm guessing it will a year or two before we see another album from them, maybe even longer. After all, they seem to be in a habit of recording every five years.

Any chance of a new album from A Perfect Circle in the meantime? I don't know about other Tool fans but I actually like APC a bit better. I don't mean that as any slight on Tool though.
