Say an alien invasion happened today in the DCU.
The JLA would be in space fighting it.
The JSA would be fighting it here on earth.
The Teen Titans would be playing clean-up and protection, keeping people from danger, and rescuing them.
And The Outsiders would be doing undercover ops, either gathering intelligence, or laying down strategic support, or perhaps both.
Do I have that right?
Yea, that seems right to me. But Checkmate/Suicide Squad would most likely be fighting too.

What role would they play though? Outsiders would have the undercover ops, so it would leave much for them to do...maybe coordination?

Checkmate would coordinate while the Squad would just barge in and kill everyone.

Outsiders would play the howling commando role with Batman as Fury (since he would have seen it coming) checkmate would be the shield are. the titans (20something ones not teens), shadowpact, Metal Men and doom patrol would be in it too.
JLA and JSa would be one group of space and earth fighters. Alan Scott lead one and Batman the other.
Probaly uncle Sam would reform his freedom fighters.

True, but I don't see the Outsiders doing anything too flashy either.

I could see some of the Titans able to help in space, but not all of them - that would limit them to helping the JSA, not the JLA then. Unless there were a reason to go the aliens home-planet - then I would consider the Titans perfect, as Starfire and Nightwing have been offplanet before.

I don't see Alan taking over a space battle. He's good, and possibly even a better tactician than most, but he's not charismatic like, say, Superman. People just naturally defer to Superman.

Sam seems pretty busy with America's internal problems right now. Unless the aliens actually took over, I don't see him getting involved. Unless there were someone in the government who was a traitor, and betrayed humans - then I could see the Freedom Fighters going in.

...and then after all of the above, the Legion of Super-Heroes would take care of the alien's contingency plans that would come into play a thousand years later. And that would be the end of it.

All fair except that all ot the Titans have been off world back in the omega men days and when they wnet back to Starfires home world. But I think the space fighters would be flyers and those who can survive in space un aided.
I think alan Scott would get Supermans support as they have often been equals in position during crossovers. Well pre the new superman.
Mr Teriffic, Oracle and red tornado would be the communication command center guys with John Jonzz being dead at the moment.
You would have to figure a way to keep the Hal Jordan and his band of renown out of it as well.
Althought they do seem easy to push around at the beginning of any fight.

Don't forget SHADE. Frankenstein and The Question would probably sneak onto the mothership, looking for a weakness.

I'm with Ghost Shark on this one. Checkmate would liase with Oracle while Deadshot and company would just waltz onto the frontlines and find their C.O. and simply say "Point us in the direction of the mothership."

... I was about to say! They'd be pulling up the records in their history holos, and Brainy would track down the ticking bomb left behind a thousand years before, and they'd atomize it. War over.

They set their detonator for 1000 years in the future? DAMN they're patient.
I can't wait until next week for another House episode when it's in season, myself.
