I just read read the preview for the Wildcats #1 and enjoyed it. However I really don't have a clue as to what the team and characters are suppose to be like though. The three team members shown were pretty badass. I was sort of expecting them to treat the humans they saved badly but it was the exact opposite. They seemed pretty well together and at least had a decent relationship among each other. I wouldn't have thought that from their general appearance. Never judge someone how they look applies here I guess.
What I do know is that Wildcats is one of the flagship titles of the Wildstorm universe. Are they THE title of the universe or do they shared that with the Authority team/title?
What kind of content can one expect from the Wildcats team action wise, relationship wise, etc?
Can I just jump into the new series (is it an ongoing or mini-series) or must I read the past titles (they come in trades I hope)? If I like this one I wouldn't mind getting past issues though.
Can any comparisons about the team be made in regards to characters in Marvel or DC?
Thanks.

Yup that's me. I figured it would be best to ask in more then one place to get as many different opinions as possible. So if anyone has anything else to add that would be great. :)

You didn't used to, but you guys have mellowed with age. LOL.
Seriously, though, when someone from the DCU boards comes over and starts talking about how Batman can beat everyone, they gotta expect we're not gonna be welcoming.
I still think we should start introducing ourselves with that Zealot killing Batman image.

Well after thinking about things I've decided to go ahead and actually add all four WSU titles to my pull list and back ordered #1 of both Wildcats and The Authority (both of the World's End event). So along with Reign in Hell from the DCU those are the only titles I'm currently collecting. I stopped at Final Crisis at #3 and might pick it in trade.
I enjoyed all the previews and while I'm kind of wary of Gen13 I'll give it an issue or two to really decide. I hope things work out well this time around after Morrison and Jim Lee pretty much screwed up the last relaunch. I just hope others give it a far shot and sales can at least make Wildstorm enough money to keep titles from being canceled. Which is why I'm actually collecting the issues when I normally would trade things. Come to think about it even if I just think Gen13 is okay I might just continue to collect it to support the title. Who knows.
